Would this protect you from smaller particulates?

As long as the particles are not much smaller than this type of dust, you're okay. What type of dust did you specifically have in mind?

Can you wear these under a mask?

I suppose you could but I find it a little hard to breathe when wearing them and then adding a mask I think would even make it worse.

You put that this product has a niosh rating of 8. what does that mean? 80% or 8%? how does that compare to an n95 niosh approved mask?
