I have dyed black hair that's been lightened several times on the ends for a green/blue balayage & the damage is real. I always use a repairing mask in the shower instead of conditioner & follow up with leave in conditioner afterwards but I still had SUCH brittle ends. My hair felt like rubber & straw.
