If you are a Loretta Lynn fan, watch this. She is one of my all time favorite singers and female heroes. The movie touches on Patsy Cline’s life as well, another fav and female heroines. All-star cast, Sissy Spacek and Beverly D’Angelo too name a few. It’s a must see. Fast shipping and efficient service as usual from Amazon. Great job! Much appreciated!

I should have written this review while she was still alive. I love some country music, but not especially fond of hard-country, Country Music… maybe I should say “old style”. But this movie 🎥 kinda changed my ear on this I know it wasn’t Loretta singing her songs, but it was her story. So sorry she lost Patsy Cline, sorry we all did.

I bought this for the family for Christmas and let it play all day. We all thoroughly enjoyed this bittersweet memory while making new memories with the family.

Having read some other reviews I was fearful that this U S Import blu-ray disc would not play here, but to my surprise my 4 year old Sony Blu-ray player handled it with ease. The picture quality is excellent and also worthy of mention is that the sound is crisp and clear, not like a lot of pre-recorded discs where the sound is muffled. The film itself is a very handsome production and could in my opinion only be improved by including a few more of Loretta's songs (admirably sung by Sissy Spacek). I was lucky in that I was able to watch the film in conjunction with the BBC4/Arena production on the life of Loretta Lynn which just happened to be on the BBC I-player at the time, and this made the whole experience that more meaningful. A highly recommended film for which Blu-ray is needed to do it full justice on large screen television.

I watched this many years ago and loved it but I’ve realised you can’t go back,wouldn’t watch again.

Will not play on my dvd.
