In looking thru the reviews before purchasing I didn’t expect much but wanted to give it a try anyhow. I have a solar powered Reolink Argus eco camera on my entry gate that is about 300’ from my front door, and have been mostly unable to keep a simple connection little lone being able to view the thing. Removed the factory antenna and this one fit right up to the threads. Problem solved! This antenna basically quadrupled the kbps to and from the camera and viewing is now instant with no dropped signal….perfect! Router is inside the front door in data closet and still reaches the gate no problem using 2.4ghz Wi-Fi. Anyhow…it fixed my problem.

I want to start off my review by describing my set-up. It's an older tower, tucked away in a corner, underneath 6 boxes of stuff, on the opposite wall of my router. Total distance is not that far - but the wifi was 1 bar, and dropping constantly. Couldn't even get Google maps to load properly. I put these in and presto - I might as well be hard-wired! You will generally want your wifi antennae to be orthogonal / perpendicular - that is, 90 degrees to each other, and to the router. So, one antenna "up", one antenna to the right (or left); and if you have a 3rd antenna, straight back. Now, for the warning - most antennae can be adjusted by simply turning them a bit more, after being screwed on. That is because there are multiple points on the antenna that can rotate (the socket that locks into the card, and one about a hair above it that allows it to be rotated for the positioning mentioned above). These antennae are heavy - they use heavy material, and you can apply a LOT of force, without even trying. I actually overturned to the point that the nut in the wifi card, actually got stuck, and had now started to turn the wire on the card. To fix the issue, actually took needle-nose pliers to stabilize the nut on the card itself, untwist the antenna, and stabilize the connection with the card.. Don't just do it by feel - actually look at the connection, and make sure you are adjusting the antenna, and not overturning. I would absolutely buy it again, and just approach more cautiously. Wifi cards with antennae will outperform those USB receivers any day, and this item gives the supercharge you need.

Great antenna delivering good results. However, the outside diameter of the connector is too large for most recessed connections. Have to use adapters or grind down the outside of the connector.

The antennas work great on my security camera it helped on the signal straight it when from a 1 or 2 up to a 3 to 5 bars signal straight the camera Stayed connected to the Wi-Fi an it didn't lose connection

They weigh too much and are pretty loose, catch more signals than I'd expect, and don't significantly boost Wi-Fi speeds.

I was super skeptical about these antennae being worth anything. Where I live there are a lot of devices on wifi, and I would usually use a ethernet cable if possible, but as of this time, I cannot. My motherboard came with a decent, but short range antenna that worked, but I got at most 40Mbps. I put these babies in and I am now getting 130Mbps. In my console I ran netsh wlan show interfaces And it showed a signal of 60% and Rssi of -74, after these babies were installed I got 80% and -68. I went from about 20% of my maximum download rate from the router to about 50%. The ability to recognize bluetooth devices is also greatly improved, though the ability to transmit through walls is still lackluster. Overall, worth the purchase. Great value for price. I only wish I could make the router more powerful.

Makes online games near unplayable, as 16% of wifi packets are lost on average. No major difference in speeds or latency compared to a standard 5.5 inch antenna. The fact is: making an antenna bigger doesn't necessarily make it better, unless you're supplying more power to it. This product is poor quality and, in my opinion, useless. Just use your motherboards pack-in antennas. A smaller antenna makes for a better connection anyways, per square cube law. I found these antennas lost connection constantly, despite not being too far from the router.

I thought that these would be a little more far reaching than the standard antennas that come with ASUS ROG (8 or 9dbi) Motherboards as these have a 10dbi rating, but it turns out these are not as better and even not as good but do work OK. They are quite long and can get in the way a lot, an antenna extension cable would be helpful.

Compré un par en junio. Tras usarlos unas 15 veces, las dos se han roto por el mismo sitio. La primera se rompió en septiembre más o menos. Ahora se ha roto la otra. Muy mala calidad. La antena en si, cumple con su función (faltaría más). Pero no sirve para ser montada y desmontada.

Didn't have high expectations of this product. But it's definitely boosted the wifi signal so that devices in the farthest rooms that previously tended to drop their connections now stay firmly online. Just the job for someone in a typical modern house who just needs a little bit more whoomph from their wifi router without the hassle and expense of extenders etc.
