My girlfriend and I have it lying down horizontally with another set of cubes stacked on top of it. The back is cardboard so it is not really able to be secured to the wall.... it is not a very sturdy item. **Q: Could you flip this so it was actually standing on the base? Yes, they’re cheap and cheerful and you get what you pay for, but I think these excel in the versatility the afford you. I bought two of the 11 cube and 2 of the 5 tall ones. All arrived today. Super easy to put together - instructions are thorough enough but if you’ve built enough flat pack you don’t really need them anyway. I’ve stacked the 11 cubes horizontally and flanked them with the 5 sectioned uprights. They’re sturdy enough, hold a decent amount, and do exactly what I need them to. The ONLY niggle (and the reason for only 4 stars) I have is that the screws aren’t countersunk, and instead of screw caps they provide stickers which are next to useless.
