This is just as advertised. We used it in place of playdough. Worked great. It was a lot less messy and the temptations to eat it was not there.

I purchased this Therapy Putty when I was introduced to it by my son's occupational therapist. He was about 18m at the time and didn't really use it as intended. He just turned 2 and really likes it now (and uses it the right way). He still puts it in his mouth on occasion so that's a concern for most things like this. Things to note- the orange one (xx-soft) is VERY messy. It sticks to everything and leaves an oil-like residue. In retrospect, I would only use it if the others were too stiff for my child and only if they were wearing a paint smock. They get progressively less messy. I'd say only the most firm doesn't really stick to anything. They always return to their original shape in their containers. I took a picture of the orange (with my finger print) and green ones to show how they were used and returned to the shape of their packaging. The video shows my little guy playing with it. I think these are effective at gross and fine motor strengthening since children are using their muscles without realizing. I took a star off because I think it's a bit overpriced and the softer ones were rather messy.

Works great for grip strength

Recommended by my child’s OT. My child loves the different colors and how they feel different (softness vs. firmness). The putty can stick to things, but I just press more putty onto it and can remove it quickly. Unfortunately, the container cap was cracked when we opened the first time - I do like the idea of having the container for storage
