Soft flexible feel to the cable, not like the hard plastic cheap stuff. Nice reusable ziplock storage bag. Haven't connected it up yet, just a great initial impression.

The pin-out color coding as depicted on Amazon website is not accurate. Package did not come with pinout / color coded chart. Had to conduct my own continuity test to trace color wire to pinout. Otherwise product quality standard.

This connector is well made with plated pins and strain relief. I used an ohmeter to check the connectivity between each pin I needed and the stripped wire ends to be sure I got the correct connections. Stripping more insulation and soldering to the wires was easy. It's a nice connector for hooking up to my car... Fit the OBD2 plug securely. An upgrade and much better than the individual wires I was using before. Glad I bought it.

Purchased to use on 2018 RAV4 to enable a little easier way to put it in diagnostic mode. Had been using a jumper wire which worked fine but thought this would be a handy shortcut. Checked wires with DVM and connected the 2 wires that would enable diagnostic mode. It triggered some flashing lights on dash but not all the correct ones. I double checked to make sure I was connecting the correct pins/wires and I was. I tried my jumper wire again and it worked fine. Something in this pigtail is giving false info to the ecm. I have no idea why or what but it definitely does not work correctly for something this simple. I would not trust it to work correctly to get info to/from the port. It cannot even work correctly as a jumper wire substitute.

It was good for the price but the pin out colors were wrong and the connector was a tight fit. I think it will work Why don’t the update the wire colors on the add?

Wires are NOT connected to the pins as labeled; this caused me hours of frustration. You MUST continuity-check the wires one by one. Do NOT trust the diagram.

Bought this to put a trickle charger on our Rivian to reduce vampire drain. Wire colors follow the OBD2 protocol. I suggest wiring in a 3 amp fuse.

Don't let other reviewers scare you away about no wire pinout or diagrams. It literally took me about 30 seconds to use an ohmmeter to check continuity between the connector pins I needed to hook up and the colored wires they went with. Easy! I'll be buying more of these next time I make another bench harness for programming ECMs.

Product was well made and sturdy but there is obviously no quality control check. WIres were not colour coded as show in the sales documentation.

The PIN diagram in the this listing is completely wrong! I used a multimeter to trace each wire and here is what I found, although yours may be different. 1 - brown 2 - brown/white 3 - purple 4 - orange 5 - light blue 6 - green 7 - black 8 - black/white 9 - red/white 10 - white 11 - yellow 12 - pink 13 - gray 14 - green/white 15 - blue 16 - red

This is absolute garbage. The pinout wires are incorrectly colored on this site. DO NOT RELY ON THE COLORS MENTIONED HERE! Test with a multimeter to ensure the actual pin - wire color. Additionally - there is no pinout sheet in the product package - so you have to refer back to this site - which is WRONG! Cable likely works (I haven't tested it - as I've spent the last 30mins noting which pin goes to which color wire) but what a dogs breakfast of misinformation. Total time waster.
