Timeless Coenzyme Q10 Antioxidant Serum, Collagen Support, 1 fl oz

I bought this on recommendation from dermatologist and youtuber Dr. Dray and I am so happy that I tried it! You should know that I buy way too much skincare and try many new products each month. It is an obsession that brings me a lot of joy but is dangerous for my bank account. This is definitely one of the top 3 skincare products that I have tried. The first benefit is that it lasts a loooong time. I have been using this bottle daily since the end of December 2022. It has been almost 3 months and I still have at least 1/3 of the bottle left! Great value for money imo. Also, the consistency is good; it is easy to spread, absorbs quickly, but doesn't try to run off your hands or soak into your fingers before it gets on your face. I wouldn't expect immediate results, although I personally did see a difference within the first week of use. After about 2 months of consistent use, my skin looked more plump, glowy, and hydrated. Love the ingredients in this product, I bought it for sun damage repair & protection and anti-aging benefits but it also did wonders in repairing my skin barrier - I no longer have to slather on tons of moisturizer on skin that is sensitive and dry no matter what products I layer on it. My skin very rarely stings when I put a product on it now and though my skin is still dry, I find myself needing less moisturizer overall. As part of my daily routine, I put this product on in the morning before anything else. (You probably only need 2-3 drops). It is fairly moisturizing but my skin is very dry, so I usually follow up with a moisturizer. Finally, I finish with a tinted or moisturizing sunscreen.

Background: I am a 41 yr old woman who has an 18 month old and a 3 yr old. Proper skin care has not been my priority the last few years and prior to that I would buy whatever sounded reasonable (and fairly cheap) at whatever store I was browsing at. Needless to say I had purchased a lot of worthless products over the years and now having 2 young children I was starting to fear the assumption that they were my grandchildren rather than my children. I did not look good and I did not feel good about myself seeing how much I have aged the last few years. Now bring in that moment when I decided to get serious about skin care which leads me to this product. The reason I chose this particular product is due to the fact that it contained Matrixyl 3000 which happened to be a key ingredient in one of the products I had tried in the past and actually liked. Knowing it also contained Coenzyme Q10 just gave me a happy feeling since that is an important antioxidant that we need especially as we age and to be able to apply it to my face? Exciting! And obviously having Hyaluronic Acid is great since that just seems to make your face so nice to the touch. I felt this product had some wonderful feedback and saw that the company even responded to some questions which I think is awesome for customer service. To be honest I've only used this product for a few days and had already told myself it would take at least a few weeks before seeing any results. That turned out not to be the case. My skin seems to have responded very well to this and I am already seeing a lessening of some of those age related yucks of fine lines, dry skin, etc. I do feel with continued use I will see even bigger improvements but seeing something so quickly made me feel instantly better. This is a 1 oz bottle and I will update when it's time to purchase again to let others know about how long this supply will last. I am using it 2x a day on my face and neck. I use this product in the morning and then apply a Retinol cream moisturizer. I allow the product to sink in for several minutes before applying the moisturizer. In the evening I apply a Vitamin C serum first and then this product since this is a bit thicker consistency than my Vitamin C serum. I go lightest weight first and build and with each product I do allow time for it to absorb.

I bought this serum mainly for its antioxidant benefits to use it as a preventative step against oxidative stress. The formula tends to separate, so it needs to be shaken well before use. 🧴 First Impression: The color of the packaging and formula is vibrant, although it smells a bit unusual, kind of medicinal. My first thought was whether the products were expired or not genuine. Especially when I was unable to find a manufacturing date or batch number. I am still wondering why it's not mentioned on the bottle or the packaging. ☀️ How I Use It: Using it in my AM skincare routine! When I'm going out, I apply it underneath my sunscreen, and when I'm staying in, I use it along with my alpha arbutin to support overall skin tone and protection. ✅ After 6 Months: I've been using it consistently, and I do feel like it has helped protect my skin from oxidative stress. I haven't noticed a big difference in collagen production, but I know this is more of a preventive product than a corrective one. The best part is that it never irritated my skin, even when my skin barrier was damaged from using retinol 1%. 🌟Final Thoughts: Overall, I like the gentle antioxidant serum for daily use. The smell and lack of manufacturing date are a little off-putting for me. Next time, if I have to buy it, I'm going to buy it from the brand's website to make sure I am getting the original product. It's a good preventive product for sun damage, which can lead to pigmentation, collagen breakage, and oxidative stress on skin.

Update: I’ve been using this for maybe 2 months now and have to say that it is a must in my skin care routine. It really is so hydrating and prevents dryness. Another huge plus is that I feel it calms irritated skin. Will definitely keep using! For reference I’m 36, look younger than my age, and have been using trentinion (generic prescription Rentin A) for fine lines for one year. I have never been particularly acne prone, but have borderlined on dry skin. Since using tentenion, I definitely have dry skin. I got this for the reason many reviewers did: Angie from YouTube’s Hot and Flashy recommended it. I have The timeless vitamin C serum and love it. This product is super moisturizing. My skin feels great after using it. It hasn’t caused any breakouts for me on my face or neck, but HAS on my chest. It was after a couple of weeks of using it, so I’m thinking it’s more of a pore-clogging issue. There were just a few very small, red pimples and I’m not sure why this happened... I haven’t seen a noticeable difference in my skin that I can contribute to this product as far as anti-aging. I will say that I have been able to use my trentinoin every other night without irritation or flaking. This something that no moisturizer has been able to help me with, so that alone makes this serum pretty good. I plan to keep using and if something changes, will update my review.

Update 10/7/2019 My initial review below was written a couple of years ago. I"m certain I got a bad bottle of it because I decided to try it again and this time I've had no problems and I love it. I have gotten lot of products on Amazon that seem like someone added a glycerin like substance to them. Everything from Olay to Avalon Organics. It's to the point where as soon as i test a bit on my hand I can tell if that slick stuff has been added. It may be silicone. But every time I've used a product that has that slickness when it shouldn't its given me immediate acne. So I don;t know what that ingredient is that counterfeiters are adding but it is the reason why so many great products end up getting such bad reviews. I've changed mine here now from a previous 2 to a 5 because the real product I have received this time actually works. (Review from a couple years ago) I wrote a good review for this based on the ingredients but then I came across the reviews saying it gave people tiny white pimples. I've been trying to figure out since I started using this why I have all these tiny pimples but I didnt't think based on the ingredients that it would cause acne so I kept telling myself to give it more time. Other reviews are saying it should be clear. Mine's milky looking and almost yellow. So now I'm not sure about this serum at all but I don't want to continue using it.

I pair this with their Vitamin C and my skin has never looked and felt better. This serum alone is amazing and I use on my neck and face day and night. No irritation and I tend to have sensitive skin. Several coworkers have asked if I am wearing makeup and I never do, because my skin looks clearer and more even toned.

I have been using this serum for about 4 years. It sits well under my moisturizer, no pilling. provides antioxidant protection and added hydration from the peptides. great price!

I love coenzyme by Timeless, but if you're particular about freshness, then better NOT to buy from Amazon while it might be cheaper.. The product I received was manufactured on 16 Sep 2019. Thus, the 3 stars is for lack of freshness.

I usually use only medical grade skincare but this product feels so luxe, soothing, hydrating, and best of all, it works. It softens fine lines, plumps the skin, leaves a gorgeous glow, and is dirt cheap. Doesn't get any better than that!!
