Review: Great size and power for my Celestron NexStar 8SE telescope - Someone else on an desertcart review recommended this for powering their Celestron scope instead of the short-lived internal alkaline batteries. I am very pleased with the value, the relatively small size, and the option to supply both 12-14V DC output as well as 5V for USB. Although this is a lithium battery, it is the much safer LiFePO4 chemistry that won't catch fire and can be recharged many more times than lithium ion or Li-Poly types. I'm a big fan of this stable and reliable battery chemistry. I also prefer the simple green 4-LED bar graph to others that I've seen or used that show percent of charge on a display, or have a blue LED or two without much else. This one gets the job done and doesn't waste energy powering a backlit display. It's also much easier to read at a quick glance, and doesn't throw off lots of light, which is what I need for night telescope viewing. I tied it to my scope's eyepiece holder tray with a bungie cord, and it's there to stay. I have no reservations about recommending it. Great combo of price, size and function. It's also safe to carry on airlines (assuming they understand the differences in lithium battery types).

**Q: Can I plug a solar charger into this without a charge controller**
A: Yes you can connect with 18v solar panel (normally some people call it 12v) directly with our battery without controller,because there is pcm inside our battery to prevent battery be overcharged.

**Q: Do you make any larger capacity 12v lifepo4 battery packs?**
A: LF120A1 12Ah and LF4040 24Ah

**Q: Can it provide 5V output while charging on 12V input at the same time?**
A: Yes.  I have 3 used as a ups for my 3 Google home wifi nodes.  According to Google the wifi nodes require 1.9 amps at 5 volts.  The TalentCell battery outputs 2.0 amps at 5 volts.  The trick is to make sure the ac power supply puts out a bit more than what you are powering so the battery does not discharge and can charge back up after power is restored.  They been in use for about 7 months now without a problem.

**Q: Do i need to put this in the “on” position when charging it?  i know i need to for your older li ion products, but this one did not say.**
A: Yes you need put switch on while charging
