Ultimate Flora Everyday Probiotic 15 Billion (Formerly Ultimate Flora Adult), 60 count

I've tried other probiotics that left me wondering if they were beneficial or effective. Renew Life Ultimate Flora was recommended to me by someone I trust who was instructed to take it by one of her health care providers. I decided to try it and I'm very pleased. I made no other changes to my diet or routine when I began taking Ultimate Flora. I take one capsule per day after a light meal. After only a few days, I saw changes in my digestion and bowels, both of which improved. And an unexpected benefit - much less to no heartburn after eating foods that would have triggered heartburn for me in the past. It certainly seems like these capsules are making a difference for me which leads me to believe the probiotic cultures they contain are actually live and effective. I had no issues with the quality, expiration date or delivery of this product. In fact, the packaging was very good, with extra measures taken to protect the product because the capsules are sealed inside of a GLASS jar. (Once opened, you must keep these refrigerated.) The price I paid was much better than off the shelf at local stores. Overall I'm quite satisfied and will continue taking Ultimate Flora.

I am a vegetarian, so I don't eat meat (which can create digestion problems) and I rarely eat milk or cheese (which can also cause problems). But I noticed a few months ago that I was having painful cramping at night. It was my body digesting food, but it felt like razor blades going though my guts. I would also, on occasion, have painful bloating and gas. I was about to simply get used to it, but it hit me that most people don't have this problem and that I hadn't always experienced it either. I looked into it and found that some foods are harder for the body to digest, but stress can also be an issue. I eat pretty well and exercise, do yoga, and meditate, so I decided to take a probiotic. I took Nature Made at first, which was good, but this product replicates the bacteria in your system already. Plus it helps to create more bacteria for you. This helps so that if you miss a day your body won't revert to bad digestion. With the other brands, you have to take it every day. I also appreciate the vegetable capsule. So many of the other quality probiotics use gel caps, which I don't use since they are made from animal products. Another reviewer wondered about the storing of this product. I talked to a person at Sprouts, the grocery store where I bought this, and she told me that the door of my fridge was best. I've been doing that and have had no problems. I'd recommend this for people who have problems with digestion--pain, gas, bloating, etc. I don't have those problems now. And the price here on Amazon is great.

I have had various stomach/digestive related issues since my teenage years (IBS, lactose intolerance. Most of the time i'm constipated and i've never been regular. Also tons of gas from no particular thing i've eaten). Over the years I have located a few trigger foods/drinks which cause me various pains and discomfort and have avoided them, but it's never fully improved my regularity or gas or general "yucky" feeling. In the past 3 years my heath has also taken a random decline, which for my age is really unusual (I believe this to be closeted thyroid issues which i'm working on with my doctor right now now), and I was recently diagnosed w/a severe vitamin d deficiency which I am being treated for as well. I am not one for waiting; 3 years is a very long time to suffer with the laundry list of symptoms i've been accumulating as time passes, and I figured there had to be something that I could do to get my health jump started again. So online I went to do research. One easy first step a lot of "health gurus" and bloggers recommend is starting a probiotic so I figured, why not. If they help, yay. If not, then at least I tried. This brand came highly recommended on various health related blogs and websites, but I think what really pushed me into purchasing were the reviews here on Amazon (sidenote, thank you to all that have reviewed!) I have been taking these for about 3 months now and in the last month I also decided to go gluten free (I believe I am intolerant, this will be discussed at my next doc appt). The first 2-3 weeks on the probiotics were hard; I had gas all the time and it was BAD lol but after that calmed down, I have been more regular than I ever have been (not daily still, but more frequent than before.) I don't have crazy stomach pains, much less gas (or it's odorless, believe it or not). I'm not bloated anymore. I feel "lighter", in some sense. I have had some improvements in other areas of my health as well, but since i made a few changes at once i'm not sure which one to give credit (so I wont list them here because I do not want to give false information). Really, I just feel better, and haven't felt this well in a long time. So, placebo effect? Maybe. But I don't care, i'll continue to take these as long as I feel well and I really do feel a little better and better every day. I recommend them to everyone. They aren't too big, they are easy to swallow. I keep them in the fridge on the door and take one every morning before breakfast.

I ordered this product after extensive research on how I could lose weight. I am 55+ and have been having problems loosing weight over the past 4 years. I am not that heavy (5'6" and 170 lbs) but I felt this was way to much weight to stay healthy and I did not like what I saw in the mirror. I have tried HCG injectable (worked but very expensive so I stopped), exercise (which has been on and off because of knee and leg issues, reduced calories (around 1000 per day) and I was not loosing weight. I could eat 3000 calories per day or 500 calories per day and it did not seem to make any difference. In the article I read in "First For Women" - Turbocharge your liver (please read this article so you can make your own decision) it stated that there was a prescription Probiotic that was working for women and that I could use two over the counter probiotics that would mimic that affect. This brand and RenewLife Ultimate Flora. I have been using these for 4 weeks and have lost 7 pounds. Does not sound like much but when I could not even lose a pound I am very happy. I have to take the RenewLife at night (due to bowel issue) and only take one. I take the LifeExtension twice daily. Hope this helps someone else
