I love these so much, they have been a major lifesaver at work! Excess heat has always made me woozy, and taking a physical job during the summer is definitely something I was worried about. Fortunately, a cool cloth on the back of my neck has ALWAYS alleviated any heat related nausea, so finding this scarf was a blessing. I've tried several brands, and keep coming back to the Cool Wrap--the black blends in with my uniform, the narrow design tucks into my collar just right to be minimally noticeable, and it stays damp for hourrrssssss.I do recommend you use a bottle of non-mineralized (no dasani!) bottled water to wet it down when you can, we have very hard water and it started to smell funny after 2 weeks! I put cold water in a coffee travel mug, and slide it in, just remove it when i get to work. Ladies, a good way to get it to lay flat on the base of your neck (rather than choking yourself by tying it) is to tuck the ends down through the sides of your bra! Then if it shifts, you can stealthily grab the trailing end and tug it back into place, lol!I used it daily for a while, but now I'm not needing it as much since I'm getting used to the heat and physical exertion, however, if you let it dry completely until the filling 're-crystalizes' (it doesn't go back to a powder), you'll have to leave it in water for about an hour to rehydrate, and work the filling through the length again. If you're re-wetting it every day and it only gets limp, not completely dry, it's much easier to rehydrate.

COOL WRAP lives up to its name.
These are the greatest things for hot work, inside or out. I'd been cleaning out the basement for the last two weeks. It's slightly cooler than outside, but much more humid. The My cool wrap has kept me from seriously overheating. Put it in the refrigerator the night before! and drink lots of water. That combination could possibly rescue from heat stroke.I gave two similar ones to my movers on Saturday, which had a heat index of 103°. They couldn't believe what a difference it made immediately. There's were made of a cotton bandana fabric and did not feel as comfortable, nor did their wicking ability seem as cooling. The COOL WRAP, hoever, is made of a polyester type fabric that feels better and seems to cool better. The CW has a seam down the center of its length, that the cotton ones do not. That seam helps keep the distribution of the water crystals uniform, unlike the cotton ones.I'm sending one to my daughter in Jacksonville FL who is a bicycle, and other outdoor activities, enthusiast.

Best neck cooling scarf I've found so far
Best neck cooling scarf I've found so far! Lasts and lasts, at least here in the Arizona desert. I drive vintage cars with no AC, and these are literally the reason I can drive my old cars year-round.A few tricks I've learned:-Keep these in the fridge when not in use, it gives you 10-15 minutes of REALLY cold support! And it keeps it from smelling funky after a couple weeks-re-soak as needed when the gel starts to dry up, I re-soak mine once a day or so - but never for too long! set a timer and check after 3-5 minutes.-Once a week, I soak the scarf until it's plump/full, and then wash it in soapy water. Make sure the gel has fully absorbed regular water before washing! You don't want the gel sucking up dish soap, or the gel will leak out.-I can make these last up to six weeks, far longer than any other scarf I've tried. After the gel is used up, I keep the "spent" scarf and use it as a headband for working in the yard, since the small amount of gel it's still got makes it a perfect headband.-It gets old tying this thing in a knot, so I use a small round ring of metal to hold mine together like a bolo tie. I set the ring by my keys so that I don't forget the scarf in the fridge.NOT a paid advert, I have 10 of these on the shelf in case they stop selling them. They're that good.Note: The black scarf is superior to the other colors for some reason, I think it's because of the dense material they're using... the others all work great too but don't seem to last as long.

Hot flash heaven..
If you have hot flashes, this is for you. It requires a soak in cold water. For me that was a bucket of ice with just enough water to get this wet.Pros: It was COLD! - It will go back down to its original size after a couple of days of drying out and then plump back up. I use this on the weekends when cleaning house and then leave it out to dry during the week. By Friday it is back to normal.Cons: It was a bit drippy on the ends. I cant tell you how long it says cool, because I took it off when the hot flash passed and stuck it back in the ice bucket while I awaited the next flash.Solution: If you have the patience, use a bowl that allows the ends to remain out of the water for the 3-5 mins it takes for this to fully plump up.

I am very happy with this product
I am very happy with this product. I wear a uniform of black slacks and white blouse and we are allowed to wear only black or white accessories. I searched far and wide for cooling scarfs in solid black or white. This is the second summer I have worn the same scarf. I recommend it and plan to order several for co-workers this year. Thanks!

Keeping Cool!
We purchased these with our group safety money. We work outside in the weather, and thought these might help combat the heat. We get them wet in the morning, put them in a plastic bag, in a cooler and throw on through out the day. Many of the employees are very happy with how these work.

Keep A Cool Head
These things are great! Work very well for a couple of hours depending on the outside temperarure obviously. I have been in 90 degree heat at Disney World with one on for 4 hours and removed it and could still feel the cooler skin around my neck! Hard to make a fashion statement with one on but chic's dig the cool guys!!!!

Works well
I bought this for my husband to stay cool while doing yard work or playing golf. It works well, but isn't perfect. It keeps cool for an hour or so, but then needs to be re-hydrated. It works the best if stored in the fridge or freezer. Then it stays cooler longer. If re-hydrated from tap water, it stays wet but not nearly as cool. It doesn't drip or leak like others I have tried, so it's probably the best of the lot.
