Good book except for the description of the Sideman 'holy man'. Mangku Mastra, p214 The author states, 'if he asks you to take your top off "Welcome to Balanese culture". ???? Even whilst on holiday, do not do anything you are uncomfortable with. Use common sense. No genuine 'holy man' asks you to take your top off !!!! This was definitely flakey 'advice'.

Great read full of the authors solo travel stories and tips and tricks for solo travel. I picked this up after deciding a solo trip is something I would like to do and have found it super helpful in helping me decide if it was for me and with the planning. One you can easily jump around sections and return to. Would recommend if solo travel is something you are interested in.

fun and informative
Great book. I’ve been a solo traveller and digital nomad and her tips are great. I even learnt a few things. She also has great resources at the end of her book. She gives fantastic common sense advice and reeks a few entertaining stories. Most importantly, she encourages you to travel and gives you the confidence to try.

Lots of good tips!
I travel with a friend a couple of times a year. We don't travel alone, but with a Senior group. There lots of tips in this book that are very helpful and I know I will be using some on future trips. I'm glad I read this book.

Valuable resource
This is a valuable resource for first-time, female, solo travellers. I appreciate the tips provided by the author and I love her natural and friendly tone of her writing. I also love her personal anecdotes in each chapter. Hilarious! The only reason I took off a star was for the minor spelling/grammatical errors throughout.

I consider myself a now seasoned solo traveler but there is always new things to learn. Jen, touches on truly essential things to know before you go and then some. Her book will prepare you all, both mentally and physically.
