Mine came in a bag and had no damage. There were a couple of strings of glue gun glue that were easy to pull off.This hat does a great job of shielding the sun. Most chiffon hats don't do that very well. If you have lots of hair, like I do you will e pleased that this hat fits you. It doesn't sit on top of your crown but comes down a bit to stay put and protect you from the sun.Some reviews complained that the hat didn't have the tilt or angle shown in the pictures. This tilt is based on how you put on the hat! I usually have mine tilted slightly to the left side of my head.
