Are there any outdoor heated cats shelters with electrical cords longer than 5 ft or a cord that you can use with an extension cord?

All K&H outdoor heated beds/pads have a 5'.5" cord. MET requires that all electrical products include the statement “Do not use with extension cord” on every item that is MET listed by UL 499 standards. One reason for this is because they cannot test every extension cord on the market in conjunction with your specific situation. Also, MET suggests that an extension cord is not recommended as a permanent fixture and should only be a temporary solution when using any electrical product. Temporary use of a UL or MET safety listed cord is fine, but please consult your electrician for the proper cord for your application. Can this heated kitty pad be used in a Styrofoam inside of plastic shelter?

You could line the Styrofoam with reflective insulation first and then put the pad on it with a little straw in between
