Good well built spin bike
I ordered this bike after looking at lots of different spin bikes and deciding that it was the most suitable for me. It was despatched by JLL and was with the delivery company, Arrow XL, within hours after I ordered it. It then took Arrow XL 2 weeks to deliver it. I received a message from JLL saying that Arrow XL wanted an alternative phone number to contact me which I gave them. I then received a message from JLL confirming that they had passed the number to Arrow XL. Why Arrow XL couldn’t phone me on the original number is beyond me. I then expected a call from Arrow XL to arrange a delivery date but heard nothing so eventually I contacted them via live chat on their website only to be told they had no contact details for me although they eventually confirmed they had my landline number but seemed to not know how to use it. I was given a selection of delivery dates and picked the first one so eventually received my bike 2 weeks after they had picked it up from JLL. At least the actual delivery went smoothly. I expect if I hadn’t contacted Arrow XL my bike would still be sitting in their warehouse. In hindsight I probably should have contacted JLL to ask them to chase up Arrow XL. The assembly of the bike was straightforward and everything seemed to be very well made. I got to the final part of the assembly which was to fit the pedals. One pedal fitted ok but was very tight to fit. When I went to fit the second pedal I noticed that the thread in the crank looked slightly damaged and when I tried to fit the pedal the thread picked up and the pedal couldn’t be fitted. I phoned JLL and explained the situation and they said they would send me a new crank and the special tool needed straight away ( there is a video on the JLL website showing how to replace the crank ). About an hour later they phoned me to say they didn’t have the special tool in stock so they were going to send me a new base unit. When I asked what they meant by a new base unit, it was basically a replacement bike and I just needed to use the saddle and handlebars from the first bike and then they would arrange collection of the original bike. The new base unit was one in a shipment that was due to arrive at JLL in a couple of days. While I was waiting for the new base unit I borrowed a thread tap to see if the damaged thread would recut which it did so the pedal would fit ok. I then decided that I should keep the bike and didn’t need the replacement so I phoned JLL and cancelled the replacement. As there are comments in other reviews that JLL don’t answer the phone I can only say that each time I phoned they answered quickly and I thought their response was excellent. Anyway now the the bike itself. It is a very heavy bike and appears to be very well designed and built. I was a little concerned whether the bike would be big enough ( I am 6ft 2” ) but other people had commented that it would be ok. There is plenty of adjustment left after I set it to suit me that I would say it would be big enough for somebody 6ft 5”. There is also plenty of adjustment on saddle position, handlebar height and handlebar forwards and backwards. When using the bike it is really quiet and the magnetic resistance works very well. As others have commented the flywheel weight says 20kg on the box and 22kg on the website. I don’t know which is correct but I am perfectly happy with how the bike performs and it is very stable whether sitting or standing up to pedal. The saddle is as comfortable as you would expect to find on a road racing bike ( I haven’t used the gel cover ) and the monitor, although some may consider basic, works well and is perfectly adequate for my needs. It just remains to see how well the bike lasts. I have no reason to believe it wont be long lasting as it appears to be very robust. It will certainly get plenty of use. The literature supplied with the bike includes an exploded diagram of the bike detailing all the parts so if any replacements are needed they should be easy to order. In conclusion I am extremely happy with my choice and would be perfectly happy to order any further equipment from JLL. I just hope that my experience of Arrow XL was just a one off

A Great bike - well built from quality materials
I purchased this bike to replace a cheaper York bike which broke. Assembly is straightforward. Clear instructions provided (albeit a bit small font) and a few YouTube videos guides can help you through. It comes with a multi tool so no additional tools are needed. From box to bike took me about 30 mins. First impressions, the bike feels very solid and well build with quality materials. There are plenty of adjustments, however probably not suited for the smaller person. At 5'10" its fine for me. The ride feels smooth and is very quiet, however I was a bit worried the bike wasn't for me as I found the resitance far too hard even on its lowest setting. I could just about do a couple of miles, where as I could easily do 10 on my old bike. A call to a very helpful CS member at JLL advised me that the bike comes with 6 removable resitance magnets fitted. Simply remove the plastic cowel above the flywheel with the included multi tool and remove however many magnets to suit. I removed three and the resitance range is now brilliant for me. No used the app much and the included heart monitor doesn't work which was a shame. This isn't a cheap bike and I cannot say if it is worth the extra over the IC400 Elite or ohers in the range, but it certainly is a well made using quality materials.

Awesome Spin Bike
The JLL IC400 Pro Indoor Exercise Bike is basically a manually operated spin bike, it is not a Watt Bike or similar but a spin bike. This bike was an addition to our "HOME" Gym and is not a commercial gym item. Home is in quotes as a few friends train with me (when Covid allows), which compliments the weights, rower, boxing and other items. We train for cross fit, cycling, running and general fitness. A spin bike is generally used to improve and/or maintain Cardio fitness and this it does very well. Having owned the bike for a number of weeks and used intensively this is my review: The JLL IC400 Pro is well made, a quality item and looks good. It takes some putting together as it comes in two boxes and two people doing this is better than one. There are various videos available from JLL/you tube which makes this easy, it's certainly not hard to put together and we had this done very quickly, albeit a bit of rubber trimming was needed to fit the monitor and the brackets needed easing upwards to fit it but no real issues. Once assembled we tested it out on the easy setting and gradually increased the control knob to the harder setting - you won't be pedaling much at this level as with a 22kg flywheel it was a tough job to spin the wheel. The bike has a very large range of adjustment in exactly the same way as a normal bike can be adjusted, ie saddle height and angle, handlebar height, distance from saddle to handlebars, ect, you get the picture. Once the base set up is done the adjustment between riders is very quick to achieve with it only taking a matter of seconds to change the seat height, by pulling out the locking knob which conveniently locates in to one of the holes in the seat post and either raising or dropping the seat post. For our needs this is really all we change as we range from 5' 8" to 6'4" in height. All our changes are fast on the fly swap overs and this never presents an issue. The seat post even has numbered holes to quickly get the right height. The seat comes with a padded gel cover but we have not needed to use this as the seat itself is very comfortable. The key thing with a spin bike is the weight of the flywheel and at 22kg this bike is very hard to beat. Most bikes I looked at had flywheels far less than this and would suit a beginner but maybe not a more advanced Gym person, this bike is definitely made for EVERYONE - beginner to advanced. This is a direct belt driven exercise belt and consequently needs little adjustment and runs quietly, it has an adjustable magnetic resistance system that is so easy to use, turning the control knob to + or - increases or decreases the effort required to spin the flywheel. One thing to note is that as this is a spin bike you cannot freewheel the bike / pedals so you need to keep pedaling all the time (but you ARE working out after all). On changeovers (when we swap rider quickly) the pedals would still spin, we've now worked out that if you press the control knob down and hold it down it brings the flywheel (and pedals) to a stop and makes this much safer! It does say in the manual that this is an emergency stop but for whatever reason we didn't associate this with our changeovers! The bike is really well made and very sturdy in use, even when up out of the saddle and pedaling for all our worth it has not faltered or indicated any wobble of sorts which instills confidence to go faster / ride harder. It has a maximum user weight of 150kg and that really is a massive limit, our maximum is just under 100kg and at 6'4" he still feels very secure and comfortable on the bike. The pedals have the option of SPD trainers of toe straps - we generally tend to use the toe straps slightly loose as we change over regularly and this aids the quickness of swap overs. This does not affect our correct pedaling capability (ie don't stomp the pedals but push and pull). Made of stainless steel and weighing in around 60kg it definitely appears to be bomb proof if used correctly and normally. We have spent many hours in the saddle and the bike looks and works as good as it did when first assembled. In summary the bike is well made, good to look at, works just as it should and will last for many high intensity sessions for years to come with just a bit of regular maintenance and care. The monitor is not as bright or as clear to use as I would have liked and at times can be confusing to set up. It appears the distance is in miles and we work in KM, not sure if it is possible to change. We also use the calorie function. I'm sure if I took a bit more time and went through the manual and played with the monitor more it would be easier to understand but I never seem to have the time.... I have however, loaded up the I-console APP on my phone and we use this if recording distance in KM's. This is quite a cool APP if you want to cycle a route to help your training as you can download a location and cycle from there around the local area etc using a map system although you will need to manually adjust the resistance to represent hills, flats and downhills, I've done this for short sessions and it's quite fun and works well but it's not what I bought the bike for which is full on explosive effort for short sessions during a training WOD using either a calorie or distance setting. It has been a great purchase and addition to our Gym and so much less expensive than some other models out there with comparable specification, would definitely recommend buying if you're thinking of it. Disappointing purchase - flawed product lacking the features advertised
I chose this exercise bike as it seemed to have good features for the price and reasonably positive reviews. One of the main reasons for choosing this bike is that it provides your wattage - however this is not actually the case. I expect I will return this bike shortly but I'm going to hold off for a few days on the off-chance that I change my mind. Cons & pros as follows: Cons: As mentioned above - one of the main reasons I chose this bike was because it measures your wattage but this is not the case. The display does show something against "Watts" - but (and I have confirmed this with JLL) this does not take into account the resistance level so it will be a completely pointless measure. There appears to be a design flaw in that you can only fully tighten the handlebars if they are in the fully extended position - otherwise it is not possible to rotate the tightening mechanism as the tightening bar clashes with the stem. Result is that the handlebars are a little shaky. My SPD shoes would not attach to the pedal despite being the correct type. I've checked with JLL and only some cleats will fit (!?) and they cannot even recommend some cleats that will definitely fit! The magnetic resistance is adjusted by a knob with about 9 full turns required to go from maximum to minimum resistance. However, the system provides no indication of the currently applied resistance level so you really need to start from either minimum or maximum resistance level to know where you are (or leave it at the same level at all times, which seems a bit pointless). Saddle height can only be adjusted in increments of around 1 inch (2.5cm) - smaller increments would be really helpful. The wheels on the front stand where smashed into several pieces when delivered, despite there being no significant damage visible on the packaging. JLL did offer to replace this part - but obviously not needed if I am returning the product. Just a warning sign that quality may not be the highest. The flywheel is advertised as 22kg but the box of the product says 20kg. JLL have assured me that this product does have a 22kg flywheel and the box is misprinted (unfortunately I can't easily confirm myself!) - so just another warning sign that quality/consistency/standards may not be the highest with this product. Pros The bike seems reasonably sturdy. The pedalling action is very smooth, the range of resistance is reasonable and it is quiet in operation.

Fantastic bike, shame about the delivery.
Due to lockdown I bought this bike to stay fit. I did my research and decided on this bike because of the heavy flywheel. It took a while to arrive, but it was expected from the beginning due to the good communication from JLL. Worth the wait. When it arrived it was easy to put together, but you should be aware the design is a little different from the one shown in the photos on Amazon, in that the seat post is different from the one advertised. It is the one from the IC400 Elite bike. Not that it makes much difference. It is heavy and sturdy once you tighten down all the adjustable knobs. The cables are only just long enough when connecting up the console, but I suppose that does make for better cable management. Once riding you need to find your comfortable riding position, and thankfully JLL has a video that explains this. It is smooth peddling, even the flywheel on its own provides good resistance, but increase the magnetic resistance and you will definitely feel it. Now the bad. The iConsole app which the console uses to connect to your phone is a little glitchy. It kept ending my workout before I had really finished. I am not sure why. The colour scheme is bad, black writing on a dark grey background is impossible to read sometimes. It drops connections with bluetooth heart rate monitor. These are bugs I hope they can sort with updates. The Heart Rate Monitor, SPD pedals and water bottle are really nice additions. Delivery - my bike was delivered by XDP. To say their services was shocking is an understatement. The bike weighs 59 kg. Given the size of the box and the weight, it should have taken two people to safely carry it, however the driver told me to roll the box in order to move it, which is what they had done evidently, because the carton was broken, crushed and punctured in places. Thankfully the bike was well packaged and undamaged. The fibreboard which was used to protect the handlebar stem was smashed to bits though. I asked about the second box, which contained the seat post and handlebars and post. The driver was clambering over and standing on packages clearly marked fragile. I am glad I wasn't going to be a customer opening those packages. The bike is great, really well constructed and a good value for money item. I would recommend this to everyone.

Pot luck
Didn’t arrive on the day it was meant to arrive but when it did it was well packaged. Putting together was quite straight forward however the instructions did not mention that the metal which the monitor was to be attached to had to bent upwards, so a lot of time was wasted trying to attach the monitor until I worked it out. Sturdy bike and relatively quiet to begin with apart from a swishing sound as l pedalled, however after a few sessions it started to make a loud clanking noise when pedalling like something had come loose in the internal mechanism. After some emails back and forth with the company and a video showing the fault, an exchange was agreed. Once again new bike and collection of faulty bike didn’t take place on the day it was meant to (deja vu!). When the new bike arrived it was the wrong bike - it was the 400 Elite instead of the 400 PRO! After all the hassle l had gone through l couldn’t be bothered to go through the palaver of returning the Elite for the PRO so decided to keep the Elite and be refunded the difference. I am pleased to say that was definitely the right decision as I’m absolutely loving the Elite and it’s so quiet! I do believe it’s pot luck with the PRO l know some people give good reviews and speak highly of it and others like myself don’t, so l wouldn’t necessarily write it off.

GREAT BIKE AT EXCELLENT PRICE
I'm a fitness Instructor teaching 10+ spin classes a week on a technogym bike. I wanted a bike for home that would keep my spin fitness going during lockdown but didn't want to pay £2,000+ . I did a lot of research as I knew what I wanted and didn't want and settled for the JLL IC400 PRO. Its great! The 22kg fly wheel means its very sturdy and robust. It needs setting up where you are going to use it if that's upstairs as its really heavy to carry but once built up the front wheels make it very manoeuvrable. The magnetic resistance makes it relatively quiet and smooth - a humming rather than a whirring sound. The screen whilst fairly basic compared to the technogym ( which is around 5-6 times the price ) gives me most things I need with the exception of maybe a numerical indicator of the resistance level but that's a small thing. I did exactly the same workout on the IC 400 and the Technogym bike at the gym and the total Km and Total energy expenditure readouts were the same. I was concerned as some reviews have said its not suitable for short people ( I'm 5ft 2ins) but with the seat at the minimal height its perfect for me. My 5ft11in son also finds it a very comfortable ride. I've used many Gym standard bikes over the years and haven't found one where the saddle is comfortable on first use but you quickly get used to it ! I did have a problem with the bike after a few months of almost daily use but customer service at JLL were excellent and resolved the issue very quickly. Highly recommended.

Good but not spin studio equivalent; arrived slightly damaged
This should be very good for a good workout, but it is not on par with replicating a spin studio experience due to the odd resistance (details below). Pros: - bike is sturdy and relatively easy to assemble, and looks quite professional - no wobbles - runs smoothly, no sound - will give you a good workout - good delivery Cons: - Resistance is odd, and not like in spin studio bikes. The default low resistance still feels like it is NOT "no resistance" - i.e. the lowest setting is *not* equivalent to e.g. indoor spin classes telling you "take all your resistance off", it still feels like you have some resistance on. So it is more tiring than should be at low resistance, can strain your knees. Equally, at high resistance you can still pedal, so it is not as high resistance as spin studio bikes. - the flywheel does not stop instantly when you press the "stop" button - need to be careful as pedals still spin. Makes it harder to get off the bike quickly. - it arrived damaged, one of the front wheels for moving was broken in two pieces, so I will need that replaced. I raised this to the seller and received a replacement wheel and a small purchase discount. - I am 170cm and the saddle height is just about right for me - there should be at least one more setting at lower height. Would not be great for shorter people. Handle bars could also be closer. - securing the handlebars to the position nearest to the saddle is quite difficult, due to the long handle of the screw with which you need to do it, which you can't rotate past the bar supporting the handle bars. That was the most frustrating and near impossible part of the assembly. That bit is poorly designed.
