For the number of players, it says "4-8 players, 16 with game variations." What does that mean?

The game requires 4+ players to be enjoyable and includes enough bracelets for up to 8 players. More people can play if they don't wear bracelets – or you can try one of the included downloadable games that allow for more players.

What's the deal with the batteries?

Each set includes all required batteries, type CR1220. Batteries last 12+ hours. A set of replacement batteries can be purchased at cost directly from Starlux Games. Search "Starlux Battery Set" to order.

Are there sensors that detect when you win? What about when you're tagged?

The territory lights included with the game help make it clear when you've returned to your home territory. For tagging, players use the "trust method"; players are expected to be honest about being tagged – and show good sportsmanship!

What’s the different between REDUX and Capture the Glow Flag?

Capture the Flag REDUX is the full game set. Capture the Glow Flag is a starter set, does not include bracelets and has one fewer territory markers. Additional bracelet sets can be purchased for either game by searching "starlux bracelet expansion"
