Great read for anyone involved with kids!
Great title - Being me. I think few of us are comfortable enough being ourselves. This visually-appealing book encourages kids to be themselves, to find ways to build confidence, and includes relatable anecdotes. I got a little nervous when I came upon a part entitled “It’s All About You,” as I’ve always told my students it’s NOT all about you. Then I read it and came upon the part titled “It’s all about you...and other people.” Ah yes! Nicely done!

Love this!
My 10-year-old and I read this every night together! While I haven't noticed a difference in him, it is a fun experience with a positive take away.

Too young for my 12 year old
This seemed like a good book for my daughter, who has always had some issues with anxiety & confidence. In the end, it seemed like a good book, but not for my daughter's age (12). Might be great for 8-9 +, and for parents to sit a read together with them. Even at a younger age my daughter would have blown off the need for this book. It seems great, but it's still tough to get kids to accept that adults (and books) have wise words to offer them . . .

Great book!
My 9 yo had some issues not being in the “cool kids” gang at school, and this book came in handy to help him understand that his amazing by being himself!!He read it many times, took notes, put post its on some pages, and learned how to get over his issues! He still needs it from time to time and I’m glad I bought it for him!

A child can understand a child's way of seeing things.
I have a grand daughter who has reached the age where she is a bit critical of herself and her abilities in school and social activities. This book gives her encouragement the easy way. A child's point of view.

Excellent results for my 12 year old boy
My 12 year old loved this book. I bought it because he was constantly putting himself down, since reading this book his self confidence is amazing. He even comments about what a difference it made to read rhis book.

Not as readable and interactive as I expected
I am a school counselor and I was looking for a workbook with activities to help work on students' confidence and self esteem. I guess I misunderstood what this book was- It's written in a kind of textbook format. It has stories and anecdotes to make it more readable, and the concepts are explained really well. As an adult, I found it helpful! But I can't imagine sitting with an 8-13 yr. old and getting through a book that is long and at points can be a bit of a tedious read. Perhaps if it was done only a bit at a time it might work.. Overall, if what you're looking for is a thorough analysis and explanation of confidence and self esteem for kids, this book does a good job of that.

Worth the money. My daughter loved this!
Very accessible and interesting read for my 10 year old daughter. She read most of it herself first and found it very easy to relate to. We then went through some of it together and talked about different things that she found thought provoking or not so clear. A year on, she wants to read it a second time now.
