I used it with some of the sticker on back. Not a problem for me. **Q: My pizza stone arrived i damaged. but the glazing coating is cracked on the surface. is this normal ?** A: I think so, if what you describe is like mine. There appears to be a web of very tiny fissures all over the surface. But it has worked for years now. I bought several as Christmas presents a few years ago and I think they all looked the same. My pizza stone is grey, BTW, not the brick color shown in the picture. **Q: Does this item have a non stick surface?** A: Has an enamel coating. Stones are designed to be preheated to very high temp 475-500 degrees and used for baking. Also as you use them you rinse wash mildly so that they season which inhibits sticking as well. **Q: I have used this a couple times and am having trouble with the dough sticking. Any ideas?** A: Make sure you preheat stone to baking temp (450) before placing dough on stone. Depending on oven that may take up to 30 minutes. If you still have issue light sprinkle of semolina flour or corn meal.
