Rich with no bitterness
We have bought many different teas from all over the world for years. This full leaf loose tea is one of the best we have tasted. It has strength but without bitterness. Every cup is good, whether served hot or iced. The price is reasonable. The bonus is that it's organic. We will buy it again and highly recommend it.

Best black tea
I had to stop drinking coffee and switch to tea. So I wanted a tea that is full flavored, rich and malty. I tried several from Davidsons and landed on this one as my go-to daily drinking tea. It has a great, bold flavor that lets you know you're drinking something when other teas are too delicate for my taste. And after a few years of drinking it, I've never had any quality issues.

Great tea, great company. Much higher quality (and no microplastics) compared to bagged tea.
This is my favorite black tea, hands down. High quality, and both better AND cheaper than bagged tea, per cup. I found this company when I went looking for an alternative to bagged tea, which is apparently a fairly significant microplastic contributor for folks who drink a lot of tea. I often brew this tea without a bag or strainer; just dump it directly into the cup and pour hot water over it. I usually get a couple of pieces of stems that float to the top, and I just skim those off before I drink. The rest of the leaves sit politely at the bottom of my mug. I actually started buying my tea directly from the company, because they have so many different kinds of tea and slip fun little samples into your package. Also try their Cocoa Bliss cacao husks. Basically chocolate tea. I also love their ethics; they seem to really research their tea farms and they have a lot of sustainable options, including some that farm tea as part of an ecosystem rather than just a monoculture crop.

Great Assam for mornings
I use this tea every morning, since I seldom drink coffee. I love this brand and it is organic and one gets a good amount. I have there others like green tea and earl grey from this brand and take it in the afternoon. It has a great fresh taste and aroma.

An Absolutely Lovely Cuppa
This is not the champagne-of-teas Assam that I purchase @ the food co-op for $18+ per OZ...it is a very fine single-estate Assam that I am fortunate enough to be able to afford to drink every day. It is a lovely pigeon's-blood ruby color...dark amber red...and it has NO tannic quality to it whatsoever. It will sit on a warmer for hours and never develop bitterness or astringency. I have refreshed the pot with boiling water several times throughout the day and it has not changed character. It does lack the complexity and nuance of a finer & more expensive Assam, and if that is what you desire, then go get it. Most of us who post here are bulk tea drinkers, and would rather drink swamp water than commercial filter bagged tea. But I cannot fault Davidson's for giving us an affordable product, and I am not going to get all tea-snob about it. Yeah, I have a stash of superb Assam that I hoard, but I can drink this daily, so thanks, Davidson's, for a really good experience.

I thought I didn't like black tea!
This loose leaf Assam Banaspaty (Organic!) has set me straight. I prepared it first in an all glass cup/infuser/lid set, being careful to actually boil the water and pour it immediately into the infuser--I drink a lot of green tea and herbals, and have ignored the black tea scripture that directs water for black tea to be actually that hot. I won't do that again. Then I started doing something else and forgot about it until it was long past the time that makes it unacceptably bitter. I always fill up the cup with low fat milk when drinking black tea, so did that and tried it anyway--it was delicious. (And slightly bitter.) I've set a timer, after that cup, and it only got better after avoiding the bitterness. I'm in. I don't sugar black tea, but this tea is actually sweet-ish without sugar. It has more texture than black tea I've had before, and the color is a beautiful reddish shade. I wanted to add black tea to my tea repertoire for the potential health benefits of its antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and immune system support, but I do appreciate how yummy this tea is. I thought it was a little pricey, until I saw how MUCH tea is in a pound--this one is organically grown and a good value, in addition to being delicious.
