Great tasting coffee, great story
I was hesitant to hit the buy button at this price, but thought what the heck, you only live once. And it was a birthday treat for my coffee loving friend. It came through the post pretty quickly and she came over to my place to try it together, it's definitely an experience worth sharing. From opening the packaging and getting the right coarseness, it reminded me that coffee brewing is an art form that's lost with all these fast barista coffee chains. So our best and most careful coffee preparation and then carefully putting the coffee into my French press and waiting for the results. I let it steep just a little longer than my usual coffee , so we could get all the flavors out and once poured into our cups we sipped it slowly and with a perhaps over critical eye (well I had paid alot of money for it so I was expecting a good cup of coffee)... well it doesn't disappoint, some really unique flavors, lovely aroma and what suprised my friend the most, no bitterness or kind of roast taste. It didn't have the strong caffeine kick that I like in my coffee but this is probably not meant to be your morning caffeine jolt to get you going, this is to be savoured, taking your time to make it and enjoy it slowly. Then of course, the whole thing of elephant care and being ethically better than kopi luwak really made me feel like I was doing good and in a small way doing my part to help elephants. If they benefit in some small way from me buying and drinking this coffee that's cool.

hand brewed coffee
Over the weekend, I deliberately took out this bag of coffee and drank it slowly. I first ground the beans as recommended, and then used a French press to brew a cup of black coffee. The entrance is slightly stronger than what I usually drink, with a smoky and earthy aroma, but the back end is very smooth. Even someone like me, who usually adds milk, took a few more sips. Later, it was made into a latte. The milk suppressed the sharpness at the front, but brought out a bit of deep chocolate-like flavor, making the whole drink more rounded. The packaging is also very particular, from the box to the metal can, it has a sense of ritual. The price is indeed high, so I won’t drink it every day, but it’s nice to enjoy it occasionally on weekends.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING I'm hooked. Had to try it. There is ZERO bitterness. Complete freshness and it's like slipping into a hot bubble bath. I did not expect a cup if coffee to make me feel like I was the richest person in the world. I almost looked around for a servant. Lol. If you want to impress someone-send them a pkg of this. I heard about it when listen to a book. And got curious. It paid off. Treat yourself. You will be sooo happy.

Take a chance
My outer box was crushed. I had planned on giving this coffee as a gift. An expensive gift. No returns on food. Now I have a crushed box of expensive coffee. At $90.00 plus I would have expected better to give and receive.

Don't think . . . Taste ! You will become a real hip Sippy !
What can I say? It is the best tasting S_ _ _ Coffee I have ever had in all my Journeys around this little world. " S_ _ _ ' = " S E X Y " LOL. Don't Poo Poo on my comment. I gave some to the girls in the local coffee shop that were brave enough to taste it. They loved it too ! But, they always take crap from customers all the time. LOL hahaha Even "Donkey's" love it !

Hands Down (My Favorite; so far)
I enjoy trying coffee from all over the world. I have had my eye on this for a while and finally decided to make a go at it! I am glad I did. I brewed it 2 different ways and I enjoyed them both. My family tried it as well. They could not believe how the coffee was made. They just stared at me; like is this a joke! But, at the end of their cup. They said they would definitely go in with me to get some more! I can tell you many things about this coffee. But I will tell you this one thing! You will taste it and then simply look and simply say; wow! This is nice! Enjoy!!!
