My bamboo are in smaller vases— this seems very concentrated and does not use a gallon between the two vases— can this be premixed?

What I did is mix it in a gallon milk jug and as the bamboo needs water I water from the jug. Working good they are green and healthy.

why does it say to use tap water

Almost every article/video on care (and many other products) for lucky bamboo, says the exact opposite, and that the chemicals in tap water can kill it. Everyone else says: use only distilled/purified water. I've had a 5 stalk plant, for over a year, 4 of the 5 stalks died recently... the two possibilities are that I either over-watered it/used tap water.

Does this have calcium and magnesium?
