How can you open the passenger door if it is wired to the rear passenger door?

These are not wired to the car at all. These are two strips of soft thick foam material with magnetic pads at each end. They are connected to each other by a secure plastic coated wire that has another wire off that that holds the suction cup that you attach to the inside of the window near door lock , feed the suction wire thru the door jam , close door and magnetize the door shox evenly on each side of the drivers door and passengers door. You can't get in without having to take them off again.  Zoom in on the picture it'll help. Hope this helps. They really are fantastic and save the sides of your car from inconsiderate people. Plus that suction cup feeder wire thru the door jam is a way that stops people from stealing these off your car!! Good luck!

What is the difference between "standard vs valet"?

I believe the difference is that the valet edition is for two-door cars, you only get two door shox, one for each door. A four-door model would cover front and back doors of a four-door car, two shox that are linked together with a cable for each side of the four-door car in the non-valet edition.
