Dark Gray Butter Dish with Lid for Countertop – Bamboo Fiber Butter Crock

After setting a nice table, I hate the look of brightly colored plastic tubs of soft margarine or butter on the table. The majority of butter dishes are designed for one or two sticks on a dish with a dome shaped cover. I wanted just the opposite, a base that I could transfer soft margarine into with a flat lid. Found some but they were glass or ceramic, heavy and breakable and most with a wooden cover that would get greasy and messy from the contents and/or did not have a secure seal. FINALLY found the perfect piece! This can be used either way, sticks on bottom with dome cover, or fill the dome and use the base as the cover. It’s unbreakable, eco-friendly bamboo, super attractive, molded so both pieces fit securely together, holds a full 16 oz container of soft margarine, great selection of colors, easy to clean and looks great on my table! Picture shows comparison…which would you rather have on your table? I’m going to order more so I always have back up and maybe a couple of other colors too. I love supporting small businesses. We bought the gray butter dish so it would match everything. It looks nice but it does get smudges on it. After all the cover sits in the kitchen until our meals are finished anyway!

When I read that this is a bamboo product, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I am pleased with the size, it will fit a block of Kerrygold whether I cut it or not. The color is nice, it fits in well with the rest of my decor. It looks and feels like plastic that has a matte finish which is pretty cool. However, I have noticed areas on the lid where the butterfat from my fingers has made it a bit shiny and it does not wash off. I have only washed it by hand using Dawn and I didn’t imagine the butter “stain” would still be there when I dried it. I hesitated on putting it in the dishwasher but I will try that next. I use very warm/hot water to hand wash items, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it doesn’t come off. Hopefully you can see the shiny spots in the photo.

This butter dish is great, easy to clean and has a nice clean look to it. I've had it a year so far and no issues or scratches, even using a butter knife on it, and looks brand new! I love that it's bamboo and fits my Kerrygold square butter as that is the only one I buy.

This dish is fine in its quality but it is too short for the grass fed Kerry gold butter I bought from the market, which is a big disappointment.

I kept breaking my ceramic butter dishes and I wanted something durable. This is doing very well. Good size, holds 2 sticks of butter quite nicely and looks streamlined and neat. Recommeded.

I would say that the butter dish does isn’t job keeps my butter protected from my cat. It is a nice red which goes well in my home. Easy to clean. More than large enough. Easy to open and use. But Wish it sealed with a silicone gasket but if you don’t drop it you should be fine. I recommend it.

J'utilise les plaquettes de beurre breton de 250 grs , celle de 500 grs ne rentrerait pas. Le couvercle n'est pas hermétique mais ferme bien . Je le range dans le frigo couvercle sur le dessus et lorsque je m'en sers je le retourne et,.c'est très facile de couper un morceau de beurre .Pour le ranger je remets l'autre partie et le retourne pour le mettre dans le frigo . Je n'ai pas un très grand frigo ce qui fait que je ne peux le ranger dans la porte , mais il doit y rentrer dans la plupart des frigos . Je le recommande sans hésitation . Il passe au lave vaisselle sans problème , ou lavage à la main sans difficulté .

Questo portaburro ha un design elegante e minimale, di colore grigio scuro è anche adatto per essere portato in tavola. La misura è giusta per un panetto di burro standard di 250 grammi. La particolarità che sia ecologico, resistente agli urti e utilizzabile in lavastoviglie lo rendono un portaburro adatto a ogni occasione e se vi serve del burro a temperatura ambiente per fare dolci o altri piatti nessun problema si può mettere in microonde . Il prezzo e simile ad altri portaburro più tradizionali. Per concludere un bel prodotto che consiglio sicuramente.

Great product, easy to clean though does show the grease marks so be careful and avoid buttery fingers. It's pretty sturdy and has a good weight to it so doesn't slide about the worktop when skimming butter off it. Recommended 👍

Wir sind mit der Butterdose sehr zufrieden, sie erfüllt ihren Zweck und sieht dazu auch noch schick aus. Zur Robustheit können wir noch nicht viel sagen, da wir die Butterdose erst seit kurzer Zeit haben. Die Dose schließt auch sehr gut ab - eine Lagerung im Kühlschrank also problemlos möglich, ohne das Gerüche angenommen werden. Bisher definitiv eine Weiterempfehlung!

Diese nicht unumstrittene Butterdose bewahrt Butter auf. Und das gut. Die Butter, die man hinein gibt, sollte vielleicht nicht steinhart sein (falls sie nicht ganz passt, bei uns gab es da keine Probleme). Die Dose ist handlich, das Material liegt gut in der Hand, die Hände und Finger bleiben sauber, und... selbst in einer kühlen Küche oder im Kühlschrank bleibt die Butter angenehm streichfähig. Fazit: Ein hübsches Accessoire mit hoher Funktionalität, das ich nur wärmstens empfehlen kann.
