I love the Colorama series of adult coloring books! These were some of the first to publish for the adult coloring community and are getting harder to find nowadays ( 2017 ). The paper is slightly heavier than your normal copier paper. The art work is excellent. The books that come as a kit with pencils are a great value for younger, less experienced coloring enthusiasts. Though the pencils are not artist quality, they are not the worst colored pencils either. Great for beginning colorists of any age or level. Craftsmanship went into these books and when you can still find them, you won't be disappointed if you snatch one up. You can always find some youngster who will be happy with the pencils if you like to use the better quality, higher-end coloring medium. But I'm pretty sure you'll love the Colorama books!

This is a nice coloring book with lots of variety. Kind of reminds me of stained glass and kaleidoscopes. Great that it comes with coloring pencils especially if you are new to coloring and don't already have coloring pencils. I put my coloring pencils in a school pencil case and then put the book and case in a tote bag so it is always ready. I grabbed a couple of paper clips and after gently tearing the coloring page out of the book I paper clip it around the cover. It makes it very easy to color when it is held steady on the cover. It is also easy to keep nice that way as you can then put the page neatly at the back cover of the book and it stays in perfect condition. I find it to be pretty relaxing. I use it a lot while I am waiting...for a doctors appointment...or a test...or when I'm going out and waiting for someone who is picking me up (and they're late!). Nice destresser!

These adult coloring books got me through a dark time in my life. A friend sent me this book and I thought “Really?” but it was a life saver. I did like that I could rip out the page immediately and color without the binding in the way. I only used 3-5 colors per drawing for simplicity and to minimize confusion for me. It brought me peace and serenity and there was no stress about going “out of the lines.” I highly recommend. I am getting ready to go through another round of chemo and I will find some calmness here. Attaching a couple of mine. No Picasso here, but it was good for me.

I bought this as a gift for another person because I enjoyed my own so much. I first discovered adult coloring books by finding and buying this at a store. It loses one star because the pencils it comes with are poor quality. If you roll one between your fingers you can hear it snapping and crunching, and the colorful wrapping of each pencil is not secure. They'd snap easily. But the book itself is the most important, as anyone who wants to get into coloring will invest in tools that can color the pictures beautifully with nice, strong, bold colors. Another bonus is the perforated, one-sided pages which make them perfect for display.Fully recommended for the book, not the pencils.

I actually bought this for myself because it's very it relieves stress for me anyway. So anyway all my granddaughter's like it so I bought one for each one of them their ages 4 through 8 and they love it I was really surprised and they were a good price too..

This is great fun. I've always like to color, but felt a little foolish with the kiddie books. Now I page thru the book, pick a design and away I go. The pencils that are included are adequate, but because I am such a "color" person I bought another box of colored pencils for more color options. The design can be colored simple or elaborate. Yep, this is a definite stress reliever, as advertised. Think I will get myself the small pocket-size book for the vehicle when we head to FL next month.

Ideal for a person confined to home to avoid being bored

I got several books for Christmas and this one is by far my favorite. There are plenty of design variations to keep from being repetitive and boring. I would definitely recommend this one. However, the pencils are not so great...to really make the pictures beautiful, use higher quality pencils and gel markers. There are several nice sets on Amazon that are good quality without paying a fortune.
