Excellent, quick and simple game that doesn't tire
At its base, this game is little different from Magic the Gathering. You have a hit point tracker and cards that change, alter and reverse the gameplay. Your character also has especially abilities unique to them that are triggered under certain conditions. This box has 6 unique decks of 28 cards. Roughly the same as a Magic deck, minus the land cards. Where it differs from Magic is that cards don't have an activation cost, making game play considerably quicker. Each deck plays very differently, which leads to the fun of trying new decks. This greatly extends the fun and replay value as players will keep wanting to rotate decks, rather than getting bored with their deck as in with similar deck building games. Strategy is based almost entirely on your own hand/deck and whats on the table. Due to each player only have on average 2 cards at a time and every deck being different, there is very little strategy in anticipating opponent moves. This simplifies the game considerably and speeds up turns. Due to the small deck size, I would rate this game about 30% luck of the draw, and 70% player cunning. This box contains 6 comically themed monster decks. It also comes with a deck organizer and to my surprise divider cards for all 6 decks in the box, plus the 6 decks from the other sets. So if you own all 3 sets of Dungeon Mayhem, they all fit in this box with a container to hold the tokens. This was an excellent decision on Wizards and probably cost them a little more per unit, but it really makes the game far more convenient to play, making it a first draw when picking a game for game night or to take on a road trip. With all sets combined, you have 12 very unique decks. The instructions say 2-6 players, but if you own all the decks, there is really no reason why you can't play up to 12 players for each deck. The written rules are very simple and easy to grasp for a child. The card themselves are easy to interpret so don't expect to have any heated arguments over what a card says or doesn't say. (This is why I don't play Magic anymore). There are a couple of unique rules for larger groups. One is to prevent players from ganging up on one person, and the other allows players that are eliminated early on to continue effecting the game after they lose. Both rules keep players in the game longer and participating until a single winner is declared. I haven't tried it yet, but you can probably double up decks for an added twist. If there is any negative, its that the tokens are small, and are easy to lose. However, these can easily be replaced with a torn piece of paper. I just received this box today, and we have already tried it out with great results. My group loves this game. Its hard to judge how long a typical play will last, it depends on the number of players, but the game is no where near as involved as many other games. I would be highly surprised if a game of 6 players took longer than an hour. My group is 6 computer analysts that over think everything and our games are less than an hour.

My kids love this game
I originally was interested in this game because I love D&D, and this game does not disappoint. My 7 and 10 year old kids ask to play it all the time. It carries over themes and characters from the world of D&D, but without any of the complex rules. You don't need to know anything about D&D to enjoy this game, and if you do, it will provide you with some good chuckles as you recognize the names of certain abilities. The art is fun, the writing is clever, it's easy to learn and quick to play. A round of play can last between 5-15 minutes, so we always have time to play a few rounds and make sure everyone has a chance to win. If you're playing with 3 or more, there is a bit of strategy in who you decide to attack, so you can gang up on one player or spread out your attacks to try and steer a particular player to victory (very helpful for parents of kids who don't like to lose). Even though this game is (I think) technically the expansion pack, I started with this one, and am glad I did. It includes a box that fits all of the cards, so I almost feel like this should be the base set, and the others the expansions. We loved it so much we ended up buying all of the other versions. This just gives you extra characters to choose from for a little more variety, but other than that no added rules. I think the monsters are the most fun to play, but each character option has a unique set of abilities that come in handy in their own ways.

Super fun game for both casual gamers and hardcore gamers alike!
I was a little reluctant to purchase this game. I usually play games that have are a lot more involved and thought that the ease at which this game can be played and its age range, would put it into the classification of a "children's game". But after watching a few videos, I decided to give it a try. The purchaser must understand that this set includes a storage solution for itself AND the other two sets of cards that are available. So, my suggestion is that you take the plunge and buy all of them. The quality of this box is fantastic. The tray that is part of the box organizes everything and includes dividers that neatly identify each and every deck. There is also a little "card box" that you construct that holds all of the little cardboard markers required for the game. For someone as stuck on organization as I am, this game is aces! Up to 6 people can play and although the game mechanic is amazingly simple, there is some depth to it and it provides a quick and entertaining game. So much so that when you finish, you really do want to try it again with a different set of cards. It provided a really fun filler game and everyone at the table had a great time. Is it a hardcore game? No. But it accomplishes what it set out to do and that is to create a fun gaming experience that is easily accessible to everyone. I would highly recommend ALL of the sets. That is what makes this particular set shine.

Super Fun Expansion, Instant Hit!
Monster Madness is such a great addition! After playing the base game, we had to try this expansion and it absolutely delivered. The new monsters add hilarious twists and fresh strategies that keep the gameplay exciting. It’s an easy-to-learn, family-friendly card game that brings the world of Dungeons & Dragons into quick, chaotic fun. You don’t need to know anything about D&D to enjoy it, it’s all about using your character’s wits and powers to outlast your fellow adventurers. The rules are simple, making it great for kids, new gamers, or anyone who wants a fast-paced battle of strategy and luck. It’s become a go-to in our house for casual game nights. Highly recommend if you want something light, fun, and full of personality!

Fast, fun, fantasy game for my family
My 7- and 11-year-old boys and I love playing this game together. My older son received the original deck last Christmas and loved it so much he bought the Baldur's Gate expansion and pre-ordered Monster Mayhem using an Amazon gift card he'd received. Now with the Monster Mayhem box, it holds all the decks and has nice little dividers. It's so much easier to get out and shuffle each character's cards, and the smaller box for the tokens helps keep them a bit more tidy, though I agree with other reviewers that the tokens are on the small side and easy to drop. On the game in general: My 11-year-old son loves D&D, but I just can't get into actual role-playing games (I never played them growing up). Dungeon Mayhem gives us a way to play a fun fantasy-type game that we both enjoy. Younger players can get into it, too. My 7-year-old is still learning to read, but he knows what the icons mean on each card and has memorized many of the "mighty powers." So even non- or emerging-readers can successfully play this game without much direct adult help--at least once they've learned the rules (and they'll be motivated to by the presences of monsters, wizards, warriors, etc.). This game can also be very fast; so it's easy to fit in a round or two in 15 minutes between homework and dinner (the new box now also speeds up the clean up). Other things I like about the game is that although players are "attacking" each other, the characters, art work, and card titles are mostly all ironic or otherwise humorous. In fact, I'd say the sophistication of the humor in this game easily separates it from other fantasy card games we have (like Dragonwood). I also like that there is both strategy and chance at work in the game so that younger players can't automatically be defeated by older or more experienced players. All in all a great game that has become a part of my family's daily routine since Christmas. Even if you know next to nothing about D&D (like I did), this game comes highly recommended.

Fast, fun, and savage
A friend of mine recommended this franchise to me as I was looking for a quick board game or card game to take on a camping trip since most of the games I own are complex and require lots of pieces. This game did not disappoint the camping group. It is very easy to learn and depending on how many players you have, fairly fast. The premise of the game is to be the last one standing as you eliminate one another. All of the characters are different and have different special powers/abilities. I highly recommend purchasing the other 2 character packs to expand your character selection. When you buy this box, it comes with all of the player tabs so if you buy the other 2 character packs, they slot into the box nicely. My family and friends love this game and can't get enough.

Mayhem and Fun
Very fun and fast-paced game! The rounds pass by pretty quickly and there is a lot of replay value. It is a strategy card game and the rules are super easy to understand. The box is durable and has room for the cards from the add-on pack

Consigliato l’acquisto a mani basse. Semplicemente fantastico.
