Definitely need to check with your airline about whether they will carry the larger sized crates.  Tall skinny dogs will often require very large crates (our 50-pound standard poodle is 30+ inches tall and therefore requires an XXL crate!), but most airlines will only accommodate such large crates on wide body aircraft.  Given that most US air travel today is by narrow body planes pursuant to hub & spoke networks, transporting large (or even just tall) dogs by air can be tricky!

It is like a mini-room for my 60 pd. puppy. The lock is secure yet simple to operate. Well ventilated with windows on all sides and tall enough for my dog to stand comfortably. I would not hesitate to recommend it. (Have not used it for airline travel-only as a home kennel) Update: My dog is now 88 pounds (german shepherd/border collie) and extremely muscular. He has not defeated the latch system. Plenty of room for him to stand and move within the crate. Fourteen months old and Kennel looks and functions just as it did on day one. I am purchasing a second one for my golden retriever puppy.
