Great budget 2k monitor - highly recommended
I recently bought my first external monitor - a FHD IPS monitor. However, I discovered that unlike Windows computers, Macs don't render fonts very well on Full HD screens due to the way the UI is scaled. I was getting eye strain, headaches and all sorts trying to read the screen, so I decided to see if getting a 2k monitor would solve things. I can't express how happy I am with this monitor. It's significantly cheaper than a number of other 2k monitors, the Mac now looks FANTASTIC on it and the image is bright, vibrant and sharp. I opted for the 24in model which is ideal for my needs - university work mainly - and I find this monitor has the perfect ratio of screen size and resolution. I haven't yet tried gaming on it but I think it would be well equipped for it.

Compact with sharp image
Great monitor with very good definition and sharpness. An ideal addition for my home office.

Good, but not perfect
Pros: The screen is really good. Text is sharp. Can't really fault it. I connect to it using a display port cable (not included) from a MacBook. I previously had a Dell, but for some reason the text appeared fuzzy. This seems to be an issue with some Dells not being overly compatible with Macs... although maybe it's just that this Phiiips monitor has a better resolution too. Seems like plenty of options (blue light filter etc.) Cons: The stand is rubbish. I'm not sure if my was defective or not, although I assume they're probably all like that. They're lightweight, and the monitor wobbles like crazy while you're typing - even gently. I considered sending it back, as it's not overly fit for purpose, but in the end I bought a VESA stand (about £25 from Amazon, easy to fit) which is pretty heavy, provides height alterations and has solved the wobbling issue! Not ideal that you have to spend more, but as it was a reasonable price in the first place, it's not the end of the world.

Cured my eye problem instantly
I needed to get my home office kitted out before the COVID lockdown. Decided to try this instead of similarly priced but larger alternatives, because of the flicker free feature. I was not aware LEDs could flicker and you are unaware of it. For the last 3 years I have had aching eyes which my optician said was blepharitis. No headaches, just needed eye drops every day and night. My eyes stopped hurting within 48 hours and haven't used eye drops for a month. When I return to the office I'll be binning my old ASUS monitor and getting another of these. I have HP Probook 470G5, native screen runs at 1920x1080, Philips Monitor is running at 2560x1440 59Hz which is 2.5K resolution. Tempting to get a larger screen at 4K resolution but the Probook has HDM1.4b ports, and that will work at 24 or maybe 30Hz but I don't know if good enough. Apparently not for gaming but I don't use for that. I am no expert in screen colour etc but plenty good enough for office and general design/graphics work. If it is a little dark at the edges as experts report then I cannot tell.

Good but slightly flawed.
Quite a good display. High res and pretty pin sharp. Only issue is it just isn’t bright enough to do detailed work on.

Good monitor but theres a problem
The monitor itself is 5 stars but the built-in speakers didn't work when I got it which was a shame because it was a good monitor for the price. I would recommend but it's a shame that it came broken. it so turns out there are no built-in speakers.

Excellent colour, though harsh on the eyes
Bought two of these when upgrading from ASUS 1080p monitors. Originally tried two AOC 1440p monitors (which were absolutely terrible and wouldn't match despite hours of calibration) - so these were the next-best option. Definition aside, the colour on these monitors is far superior to the other ones, though the light can be a little harsh. My eyes struggled in the first few days of using them. My 2 monitors almost match, but I can still see differences (particularly in tone/white) between the two. It isn't enough to affect day-to-day usage though.

Money well spent, 24 inch, 2k.
Very impressed, I paid 121 euros and was not sure what quality to expect, its 24 inches 2k model, nice build quality, impressive picture quality, no speaker but that's not a problem for me, 👍
