At 68, my hair is light - white, grey- not sure what to call it, but definitely not my warm reddish brown of the first 5 1/2 decades. Although this is intended for roots of colored hair, I use it mixed with my conditioner after most shampoos. I try to leave it in the directed 10 minutes, but even at only 5 minutes (or less!) it leaves a light golden hue to my hair. It's the perfect amount of coloring for me to go beyond the drab somewhat lifeless color it has become. It's way better than dying it, for me that is, because this tint is perfect for me. I use the Warm Brown. Also, using it with conditioner I can control the amount I apply each time. I don't need a lot for the right effect I desire. (Too much looks fake; a gentle amount looks soft and natural) I hope someone else can benefit from this way of using it! NOTE: When you use it, distribute well throughout your hair or it will look blotchy.

This product does what it claims. It is not a dye so doesn’t totally cover the gray roots but it blends the natural color and the dyed portion so it is less noticeable.. It is easy to apply and rinse out. It leaves my hair feeling soft and has a nice smell. I plan to order more so I always have some on hand.

I've used the red one before several times. I've always bought at Wal-Mart. I liked the virbant red color but not a fan of the pink it fades too. But, tbh, it didn't fade to the pink until about the 5th hair wash. I don't wash my hair everyday like I shower. So I'd have the nice red for about 3-4 weeks. Now, I've thought to try to warm brown one from Amazon. Better price deal for 2. I like the color it gives. Someone else mentioned a coppery brown/brick red. I agree. And I love it. HOWEVER. Why does it wash out so fast??? The red from walmart doesn't do that. The red fades to a pink slowly. Like I could probably get 5 hair washes before getting to pink level. With this warm brown one from Amazon, it literally washed out the second hair wash time! Now I expect for a little of the color to wash out but still mainly white foam from my shampoo. But with the warm brown one. The shampoo foam was literally yellow-brown color. And it was obvious to me that over 50% of color came out. That's unfortunate. I'll buy from Walmart and test it out. I'm hoping it's just a source problem because I really like the color.... but if it does the same thing then I guess it's just the formula for this color.

This is great for in between going to the salon. Highly recommend

A friend told me of this new product. She raved about it. So i look in stores and no one ever had it in stock. I though wow, this must be great stuff, and became more determined to try. Well, i have very thick, very long hair, that i have been coloring for 20 years now. The hype had me believing i had found an alternative to dying. The item came quickly. Was perfect color for my hair. It is applied in shower, like a conditioner and left in for several minutes. I left in for 7 minutes. It stained my hands badly. I recommend gloves for sure. Staining was horrible. It stained my hairline. It stained my face. It stained everything it came in contact with. Including the shower. Everything except my hair. I saw very little, if any difference from before i applied it. If you're trying to cover any gray, don't waste your time, but if you must try for yourself, WEAR GLOVES.

I have been going gray for some time (61 yo) and i don't object to that. I would never go to the trouble of dying my hair, just too much trouble and I know many gray ladies who look fabulous. But I'm not fully gray yet and it bothers me that the hair that is NOT gray, has become so faded. The pigmentation is faint. I did not have big expectations. I used it once about 6 weeks ago and I was amazed at the results. It did affect my grays some, but mostly it restored pigment to my non grays, which is what I wanted. I don't find it has any smell at all. My hair feels soft. I really like it! I just did it again, and am extremely satisfied. I don't have to use a whole lot, either. Maybe a tablespoon or less? Caveat about COLOR: My hair was auburn-ish when I was young. I debated whether to get the red or the warm brown and I'm so glad I went with the warm brown. It has auburn tones and the red would not have blended in. Here's an after picture, I'll try to remember to add a before picture before I do it again. I highly recommend!

It will last about 6 washes or so, easy to use, wear gloves tho. It really works to brighten old/dull hair colour. For darker hair types and for deeper colour leave on for 10-15 minutes with a steam cap. Hair comes out soft and moisturizers after!

After I rinsed this mask from my hair I noticed a bad smell for starters. Than when it dried I noticed no change in colour. My hair was dry liked it was desperate for a deep conditioning! Over the past year and a bit I have spent a decent amount on going to a professional for deep conditioning treatments and I feel that was wasted when I used this product. My hair stretched out when I brushed it and was ripping like a bad bleach job. I will not be using this product again! I do not recomend it. I dont dye my hair very often. Maybe twice in last few years just to clarify.
