Color:Orange The DMV Scleral Cup is an excellent tool to simply and easily remove and insert larger hard and scleral contact lenses as well as prosthetic eyes. FOR SCLERAL LENS REMOVAL - Squeeze the tapered handle of the DMV Scleral Cup and carefully apply it to the surface of the scleral contact lens. When the suction cup has been seated properly on the lens, release the squeeze pressure to apply suction and gently remove the contact lens from the eye. You may wish to place the Scleral Cup in the center of the lens. Remove the contact lens from the Scleral Cup by squeezing the handle again. FOR SCLERAL LENS INSERTION - Lightly squeeze the handle of the Scleral Cup and place the properly wetted contact lens on the open end of the cup. Gently position the contact lens on the surface of the eye. Squeeze the handle again to release the Scleral Cup from the lens. FOR PROSTHETIC EYE REMOVAL - Squeeze the tapered handle of the DMV Scleral Cup and carefully apply it onto the surface of the prosthetic eye. When the Scleral! Cup has been seated properly on the prosthesis, release the squeeze pressure to apply suction and gently remove the prosthesis from the eye socket. Remove the prosthesis from the Scleral Cup by squeezing the handle again. CLEANING: Wash the Scleral Cup frequently in warm soapy water and allow to air dry.

Easier than most to use
Inserting Perma Gas Contacts are never easy but this suction device is a little firmer than the ones given in contact kit from Doctors office. This device is a great value for the money and made of a good firm material!

EXTRA HOLE CAUSES LEAK ... PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL
I have one of these that came with my scleral contacts. It works in every form of usage by squeezing the body of the handler to force out air. When the spherical surface of the lens is placed against the mouth of the handler and the finger pressure (squeeze) is released, a vacuum is created that holds the contact lens in place against the handler. That is how it is SUPPOSED to work.BOTH of the handlers that I purchased from these people have an additional large hole in the small end that allows air to leak back into the handler. Since the additional hole allows air to flow BACK IN when the squeeze is released, there is NO VACUUM developed. The handler will NOT keep the contact lens in place.IT IS USELESS.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Scleral lens insertion/removal with ease.
Because of Sjögren's Syndrome and Keratoconus, I was prescribed scleral lenses in 2016. I was given this large cup for insertion and another smaller cup for removal.I prefer to just use this one because if the lens refuses to come out, I can squeeze it, it lets go, and I try again. The other tool grabs on for dear life and it's hard to remove it from the lens without feeling like my eye is going to come with it.I have ordered extras over time. I can't live without them.I carry at least one of these and my Purilens with me everywhere.Hint 1: For those who are having trouble removing your scleral lenses - try wetting the cup and/or your eyes with the Purilens solution before trying to remove the lens. This works with either tool you choose to use.If your contacts are dry, it's more difficult to get good suction in the cup.Hint 2: If they're still proving difficult, (after lubricating your eyes and tool) try grabbing the edge of the contact and turning it just a bit. The lens will loosen without pulling.
