Heapwell Superfoods Japanese Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea Powder, AA Grade, 30 Grams

Great colour, perfect froth, Stored un an Air tight glass box. I read alot of reviews of many options available on Amazon and other retail stores, as well as reviews on reddit and YouTube (USA, Japan, India). This is well priced, decent prices. Good colour and I added soy milk, tastes good! I will rereview again in few weeks and let you know if the qlty deteriorates.

I drink a LOT of matcha. I bought this one since it’s sourced from Uji, and it shines when it comes to flavour. It’s bitter, and I love it. The colour is not as vibrant as advertised, though, it’s more a green-brown as opposed to the bright green it should have been. Otherwise great!

I absolutely love the tea, it is definitely an acquired taste.. but very beginner friendly, it has a nutty flavour which pairs great with any kind of milk, i personally use honey as the sweetener and it tastes so good. Although I would say it doesn’t give that bright green colour when mixed but i still love the energy kick and the flavour it provides.

Refreshing

I have been buying heapwell matcha for almost a year now. and I am writing to tell that the quality has significantly dropped. When I first bought from heapwell website I got a fresh batch of good quality matcha. So I assumed I'd get the same in the subsequent orders but that doesn't seem to be the case, after repeated orders from amazon and the website itself I can say I have been getting very cheap quality stale matcha I have also tried buying ceremonial grade and I don't see any difference between the normal and ceremonial grade. both are equally bad. I have attached the photos to show how bad the heapwell matcha (450rs and 899rs) is compared to a very cheap Uji matcha from japan (500yen - around 300rs) it may seem like there's only a small colour difference in the matcha but there is a significant taste difference. The heapwell matcha is very bitter and grassy tasting while the uji matcha feels smooth, fresh and umami with absolutely no bitter taste. I was surprised as to how bitter heapwell actually is in comparison

This is my 4 th time buying matcha tea from heapwell. Earlier I use to order the culinary matcha this time I decided to try the ceremonial grade matcha to try out the taste. Also because it came with a tin container. I must say my indian taste buds are more happy with the bitter version of matcha that is the culinary grade one . The colour of the ceremonial grade matcha is much more brighter green, taste is more smoother refined and has more antioxidants compared to the culinary grade one according to Google but I still love the culinary grade one more because it gives me the perfect bitterness to wake me up in the morning. Also in smoothies with milk the ceremonial grade one feels a little flat to me. Not a bad product at all. If you like bitter stronger taste go for culinary grade if you like more refined smoother taste go for ceremonial grade. Either way I do plan on buying again from heapwell because the experience has been really good so far.

This product heapwell matcha origin is from China not Japan. Chinese alphabet is there in package.

I like it , it tastes really good but it’s not so sweet , if it has a little of sweet to it , it will be better . I will definitely but this again

This matcha tastes smooth and you don’t need a lot for one cup. It’s not bitter like the ones you get from coffee shops.

Not good quality, as soon as I finish preparing my matcha latte and sit down to drink it, all the powder has already sank to the bottom. It doesn't mix properly. The taste is super weak as well. Just spend more money and get a quality matcha.
