Medium firm softened my table top firm bed, I love my bed now! No odor and it puffed to 2 inches thick right after all the heavy shrink wrap was cut away. It took me 20 minutes to cut the shrink wrap, wish there was an easy tear strip to open. Medium is not hard like some reviews noted, it’s marshmallow soft!

The ventilation holes doesn't go through. I have returned it.

We bought this to use on our toddler's new big boy bed, and it's worked very well to add more cushion to the basic Ikea mattress we used. It's soft without feeling like you're sinking in permanently like some memory foam. He sleeps well on it and seems to like it too. Sometimes I or my husband end up joining him, and we both like it too. I plan to get something similar whenever we next need a mattress. I also really appreciated the fact that it came with a cover to help protect it.

I purchased this topper to add to an existing 4" foam mattress in a van conversion. It works perfectly, giving me the extra support that I needed without adding any unwanted heat. There was a slight odor when I opened the box and unwrapped the mattress, however this dissipated quickly.

This makes an excellent topper. The surface remains cool even during summer giving cool comfort when sleeping. Since it is medium hard, it is perfect and doesn't sink completely. Excellent topper for those who sleep on their back.
