Professional Results
This tool allows for easy removal and installation of wire. I use it for vintage audio repair work. It allows me to remove board easily, repair them and reinstall quickly and professionally.

Smooth Working No Issue, Good Value
I have the OK Ind. brand 30 and this tool. Both work great, however for a lot of things using 28-30 gauge wire, I prefer this tool. It is of decent quality. I wirewrap a lot of prototypes instead of using solderless breadboard. When I like the project, I can just use it, or even solder a bit if needed.

Prototype board time saver
I use this wirewrap tool for building prototype circuit boards. After installing the components, soldering them in place on the topside of the board, I do point to point wiring on the bottom side of the board using #30 solid core tinned wire. The component leads become the wire wrap posts. After wire wrapping I solder the connection. I have found that doing the 90 degree bend on the stripped end of the wire before inserting it in the tool works better for me. The only problem is inserting the tool with wire over the component lead which involves finding the right hole in the tool. It’s too easy to get the component lead and the wire to be wrapped in the same hole. After working a few wraps, ensuring that the above condition does not occur, you get the knack of it. All in all it is a good tool which saves me time and allows a tighter density of components. The tighter density would have been almost impossible with the previous tweezer method.

Nice wrap tool, but the built-in stripper is unusable.
I've never wire wrapped before, but this tool seemed to do the job just fine. I ordered the "Amico" branded 30 gauge wire with this, and it worked nicely. The wire-stripper on this was either so counter-intuitive to use properly, or was just junk. A separate high-quality handheld stripper worked much better.

Game Changer
It was remarkably easy to learn to use, and it works flawlessly. Now I just need to buy more in different gauge sizes. I so wish I knew these things existed sooner… it would have saved me a butt ton of trouble over the years.

Perfect for me
Yeah, you can solder, or use a bread board. But this is perfect for in between those two options. I can build IOT devices quickly, test them, change them and if I really want to make them secure, quickly solder all of the connections when I am done. To be clear this isn't for everyone. But it sure has been handy for me. Takes a little bit of practice, but oh so easy and quick once you get the hang of it. I really don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I have known about it for years, but now I wish I had done this long ago. I really want to get a bunch of different sizes. So I will be looking around. Maybe I will write another review when I learn more.

Great tool.
Works well. I like how it can make temporary connections to the standard pin headers on project boards like Arduino. Might be useful in a pinch when I don't have the right plug and need a temporary connection.

Worked like expected
Seems well-made. I had not done any wire-wrapping in over 40 years. Picked it right up like yesterday. I expect this tool to wrap many many more wires.

Excellent product!
I ordered this product in spite of a couple of below-the-belt reviews. To be honest, one has to learn to use this tool as the skill does not come naturally. I have now tested this product, used it a few times and cannot recommend it more. If there were more than 5 stars, I would have given them. For those who have had a failed experience, I would suggest the following and see if it improves their experience, I am sure it will. 1. Try spraying WD40 on the tip and wiping it clean before the first use, not only will this clean the surface off any dirt, it will also lubricate 2. Strip only about an inch of wire to get a strong wrap, make sure the stripped end goes through the bottom hole and comes out through the side hole and stays into the grove along the rod 3. Hold the unstripped wire firm with the other hand while twisting the tool, neither pulling nor pushing the tool onto the connector pin - let the tool do its job and it does it fine without a force 4. If you are having to apply force to push the wire in or to twist the tool, you have an oversized gauge of wire 4. Most importantly do not go below the recomended wire guage a thicker wire will need force, create friction, cause breakage and frustration : ) As a guide for those who new to this , wire thickness is inversely proportional to guage number- lower the gauge number, thicker the wire!

Buen producto.
No es fácil encontrar este tipo de herramientas de wire-wrapping. Muy practica para ensamblado rápido de prototipos electrónicos.
