Are these recommended for men just to take as a fish oil supplement for overall health?

I know this is mostly DHA, but doesn't it have a little EPA, DPA, and other fats? The label says 70% DHA, that still leaves 257 mg of something else?

Hi Cheeky,

You're right, this DHA supplements is mostly DHA with a few milligrams of EPA and other Omega3. EPA is usually about 15 - 20 mg or so. The rest of the fats are various fatty acids - there are 20-30 other assorted fatty acids in fish oil - some are Omega-3s, others are Omega-6s, 9s and even some trace amounts of saturated fats.

Pure DHA as in 100% DHA does not exist commercially. Any DHA oil that is greater than 60% DHA get exponentially expensive. 90% DHA would be so prohibitively expensive that it'd cost several hundred dollars a bottle.

Hope that gives you a better idea of DHA concentration and what else is in fish oils.

No, fish oils do not contain hexane.  Many krill oils, however, do.

How much vitamin E is in each capsule?

We do not add Vitamin E to the formula. Vitamin E is added to the fish oil during production as a stabilizer to prevent the fish oil from oxidizing.  Based how much Vitamin E is added to the fish oil it totals to less than <0.2% of the total softgel weight.
