Yarns slide easily without any catches. I find the points make it easy to get underneath stitches. Surface not as warm as wood, but definitely warmer than metal. They are easy on my hands even with arthritis, and very light weight for their size. I have used them for a few years and they are my favorites. I also knit with wooden needles, steel needles, aluminum needles, and other plastic needles, because these do not come in very small and very large sizes, and as far as I know they do not make double pointed needles or circular needles out of this material. They arrived quickly and at first I had difficulty with them because they felt strange to me. They are a bit slippery for someone who is trying to re-learn a craft after so long. Once I got used to them they were fine. They are very light and the colors make a nice contrast to the yarn so it is easy to see your stitches. I am sure I will like them even better once I get back in the rhythm again.
