Initially, I was looking for something that looked like a tank and drove on tracks. We were originally expecting a cheap childs toy, and Let me tell you this was a great buy. It's literally I small leopard 2, from the way it looks to the way it sounds. Features beautiful engine sounds(power on, idle, different speed sounds, turret sounds, different gun sounds, Canon sounds, and more. Good size, it's large and proportionate. I've put it to the test since I'm buying a higher end model, it climbs over things great and can push things out of the way. Use cation on certain textures, thick carpet and clothes can pop the tracks off if not drove with care. This however, can be fixed quickly by popping them back on. This tank has indeed risen my standards for rc vehicles.

This tank and the variants (Leopard 2a5 and Type 90) are sold under many names online, but they are the Heng Long brand. Mine has the name engraved on the bottom of the hull. These 24 scale models have been on the market for at least 10 years, but this version has the best transmitter to date featuring full proportional control and dual sticks. I would have given five stars, if it hadn't required repairs straight out of the box. When I ran it the first time, the left track refused to move the tank no matter what I did. It still spun when I held it in the air, but that was it. After opening the gearbox I determined the motor pinion was cracked and slipping. After washing the grease off, applying Gorilla glue, and reassembling, it runs flawlessly. The transmitter is pretty simple. It has a power button, sync button, trim adjustments, buttons for fire control, and two fully proportional control sticks. The right stick controls the chassis with forward, reverse, and turning functions. The left stick rotates the turret and elevates/depresses the main gun. In addition to firing 6mm BBs (rather forcefully I might add) the tank also features an infrared "cannon" and "machine gun" for battling the other Heng Long tanks. As for driving, it seems to function well since the repair. It's not a fast vehicle, a little slower than a stock SCX24, but it has plenty of torque. It does suffer a bit in dirt due to the scale accurate ride height and the tracks do try to come off on grippier surfaces, but it's very agile maneuvering on hard surfaces like hardwood or smooth concrete. I can't recommend this as a gift or for children, largely due to the need for user servicing. The odds of getting a tank with drivetrain issues seems high reading other reviews. If you're willing to open it up and troubleshoot, however, it can be a lot of fun!

DO NOT BUY! I Repeat, DO NOT BUY! I should have went with the bad reviews and spent more money for a real quality tank. I got what I paid for though, my bust. If you want to go forward right in circles, and have the track jump off every time you try to compensate with remote because it will not go straight at all even after trimming it per their instructions. It also will go straight backwards but only for a little while, then it goes off to either left or right. I know what I'm doing with remote toys and this is not operator error. This is China trash. The battery I will keep because it works on my other RC vehicles, but will crush the tank. I don't even care about a refund at this point. I'm just fed up with junk from China 🇨🇳. I will find something made in the good old USA.

It worked fine for a while. The right stops working. When held it the air, it turns just fine. When on the ground, it may or may not work.

It was cool at first! The rubber comes off the tires alot! It definitely wasn't worth the $$$.

Outstanding RC Tank. Had an issue but it was quickly resolved. These tanks are awesome I have all of the Henglong 1/24 scale tanks and they are a blast. They are very fully functional and very responsive.

good product for the price but tracks do come off in deep carpet like a thick shag.
