Hooked up with 40 watt led light and would not light just flickered, installed the 40watt in a lamp worked fine. It’s dust to dawn light. Returning

So far so good
Works great so far. It does not work with LED or CFL bulbs. Just installed it so will see how long it lasts.

All in all pretty good quality
All in all pretty good quality. The little brass piece that the screw used to hold the glass in place is pretty flimsy. Had to tweak it a little to hold the screw tight. Works good.

Photo sensor not working on original and replacement
The photo sensor doesn't work.I've been an electrician for almost 20 years, so I do know about these things.At night the light will blink on and off, then during the day the light does not turn off completely. This happened for both the original light I purchased and the replacement I was sent. You can see in the picture it's mid-day and the light is on, just very dim.The blinking on and off at night could be because the light from the bulb is getting to the photo sensor and turning it off, then when it's off, there is no light so it turns back on. This could be fixed by covering up part of the photo sensor so less light comes in, but because it does not turn the light off during the day, the whole fixture is useless.I ended up just buying 2 photo sensors and installing them on the old light fixtures, it was more work, but once finished, they work perfectly.Another review claimed these photo sensors will work on a regular bulb but not with an LED, that doesn't add up. The photo sensor just turns the light on and off, it's just a switch, it has nothing to do with the type of bulb, plus, in the product description it states that this is for use with an LED bulb.The product was easy to install and looks nice for the money. If you order it without the photo sensor you'll get a good product..

I LOVE these lights - work just as they're supposed to.
I have bought a few of these for my building - they are EASY to install and work just as advertised. I love that I can replace the bulb only - rather than some of these LED ones that are throw-away when out. Adds a bit of modern convenience while still having some old world charm.

The sensor works as it should. The center " threaded nipple" is a bit difficult to measure.
The nipple is a little difficult to measeure. I guess each house is different, (ie-siding, wood or cement/brick) exterior. I did it in winter. Better to wait for warm weather. Good sensor dusk/dawn.

God night light
Works as advertised, with exception of use with LED light bulbs, light flashes on and off till completely dark. Would be better if engineered to work with LED.
