Normally, I'm very picky about my pens and prefer sharp tips with liquid ink. But at work (paramedic), those pens don't work well because they won't write on gloves or tape or skin. These pens are the best for writing on anything. I even gave it to a nurse the other day who had misplaced her sharpie and couldn't get her pen to write on a plastic wristband (used to note patient allergies). I handed her mine and told her it wrote on almost anything, and she was surprised when it worked! She even exclaimed "it does write on anything!"Why not just use a sharpie you ask? markers or felt tips pens don't work on our 3 layer carbon paper forms (honestly, no pen transfers 100% of the time, but there's a specific rule against felt tip pens because they never transfer). So for me, this pen works on everything and keeps me from carrying a secondary marker with me.I've tried many ballpoint pens, which all work better that gel or liquid ink pens for different surfaces, but this particular pen surpasses others when writing on plastic. I bought a four pack by chance in my search for the greatest work pen ever, and when they ran out couldn't find any more in the stores. Thank goodness for Amazon. I bought this box and a box of the pink cancer awareness ones - nice to have some variety... and I am a girl.
