I typically use a box brand like clairol and it barely covers it and lasts 2-3 weeks. I only do the areas by my temples and widows peak area and those ones at the top in part that start popping up. It was strange texture...like I was putting mud on my hair. It snelled earthy...which was much better than the chemical smell. I left it on possibly 40 minutes. 10 minutes longer than suggested. I was surprised how well it colored everything. I'm not sure how long it will last. But the package has more packets in it for later for the same price as one box on Hair dye.
