I gave this to my mom as a Christmas gift, and heard that the black comes off and so put a clear coating over to try and preserve it a little longer. She's worn it everyday since, it took perhaps 2 to 3 weeks to begin changing color. It has been about 3 months now, the bottom is copper, the sides silver, and the top is black. All the gems have stayed in though, and it doesn't turn her finger green. I would give it 3 stars, except this is the only ring I've ever found like this with 2 of her favorite stone look-alikes in the same ring. She still likes it, it's just kind of cheap. But you can buy a ring in Mexico and it'll turn your finger green, so there's ups and downs. Still pretty, however. Hopefully I'll find a method to color it black again.

While this ring has some nice colorful sparkle when the sunlight hits it the right way, the "opals" otherwise look like dull plastic. The band is a shiny dark gray, like polished hematite, rather than black as described. Which is fine, I think it looks better than black would, just note that if you are looking for a truly black ring, this is not the one for you. I wear a 7, which is what I ordered, but it is too tight. It took some serious pulling by my husband, on a soapy hand, to remove it. It's OK as costume jewelry but it's not going to fool anyone.

I usually buy a size 7.5 but this did not come in half sizes. I bought size 8 and it is a good enough fit. The ring is a little bigger than I thought, but like it anyway. I will be looking at other pieces of this brand of jewelry. A fun piece of costume jewelry priced right. Arrived quickly, but I ordered another ring at the same time, it is still on it's way so I can't say that shipment is always timely.

It's such a beautiful dark yet colorful ring! Unfortunately the outer shiny layer peeled off within a week and now the black is rubbing off, but I wear my rings all day every. I'd imagine if you take good care of the ring the black will last much longer. I'm perfectly okay with it wearing off though and will continue to wear it. Very unique!

Well, I ordered I a size 10 according to the chart. Measured 3 times to be sure. Definitely not a size 10; probably closer to a 7.5. As always with ordering anything from Asia, expect it to be too small if you're not Asian. The ring itself is very pretty. The center stone has lots of brilliant facets and the opals have plenty of fire. Haven't worn it much so I'll update once I have that info.

I love this ring, but the black is wearing off and I’ve scratched the edges of the “stone” quite a bit with normal daily wear (I have an office job).

Wrong size was sent and I was disappointed because I can't wear it only on my little finger. It is a very pretty ring and looks expensive but I was disappointed that I cannot wear it on my ring finger I'm not much on wearing rings on my little finger.

the topaz centerpiece is not nearly as colorful as in the picture and its set is ever so slightly crooked. plus, one of the opal pieces has a chip out of it. it's small enough to barely notice so i didn't go to the trouble of an exchange.
