I wanted to be able to monitor my fridge temps from the outside without opening it , works perfect, updates Every 3 minutes so it saves battery, only thing Is that the emmiter Is a Little big and the clip Is useless, I used adhesive Velcro, works as needed

This was replacing an older version with a smaller display. This display is much larger than the old one and easier to read from a distance. This provides all the same information and controls as the old one (current temperature plus min/max for the two remotes, current temperature plus min/max for the unit itself, alarms for each temperature reading, and the usual controls). It sets up quickly and the remotes synchronize quickly and automatically once batteries are installed in everything. Only complaint: This one only records min/max (which can be manually cleared) over the previous 24 hours whereas the previous design kept the min/max until Clear was pressed. I like the old version of the min/max storage. Otherwise, a very nice unit.

Easy to read display. Current temps can be seen from a distance. Min/Max temps are large enough to see easily (unlike the AcuRite).Intuitive controls - easy to use.The only downside is the 24 hour reset.So if you are away for several days, you can only see the min/max since the last auto clear - sometime in less than 24 hrs.Maybe only a few minutes if the clear just happened.The AcuRite keeps historical data but the display is not as nice, nor is the operation as easy as this one.

UPDATE -The company contacted me with instructions to test the device. It still didn’t work. They were unable to just replace a single sensor so they gave me a full refund. I used the refund to order another system which arrived quickly and I found it wasn’t a bad sensor after all, but the receiver instead. I replaced the receiver with the new one and have 2 extra sensors from the original unit as spares.I’m very happy with the Thermometer and have both my freezer monitored! I recommend this product!PREVIOUS REVIEW-This could be a great product but one sensor keeps showing low battery no matter how many new battery’s I have tried. I don’t want to return the full item because it took a while to arrive. I would like to have a sensor replaced, but I can’t find an option to do that - only return. Otherwise - it seems like a good product and it has many features that we like. The base unit has a magnetic back so you can put it on the outside of your refrigerator or freezer! Smart!

UPDATE: 12/10/2020 BUYER BEWARE:SENSOR QUIT WORKING, NO ALARM OR INDICATOR. IT JUST LINED OUT. REPLACED BATTERIES AND IT STILL DIDN'T WORK, CHANGES BATTERY IN CONTROLLER AND STILL THE SAME PROBLEM #2 SENSOR IS DEADCLOSING WINDOW CLOSED SO CANT RETURN IT. FREEZER IS WORKING BUT WONT READ TEMP ANY MORE. PUT A MECHANICAL THERMOMETER AND IT READS -10 f SO FREEZER IS WORKING / ALARM AND SENSOR #1 IS NOT. DON'T TRUST THIS TO PROTECT YOUR FROZEN FOODS.THIS REVIEW IS VOID/SEE UPDATEWE have a freezer in the garage and one in the kitchen in the house. They are separated by several walls and environmental's by some 40'. Garage is not climate controlled and of course the house/kitchen is. We also have old fashioned certified mechanical temp gauges in each of the freezers. Both freezer's mechanical temps gauges are within 1 to 2 degrees of this unit and work great! Last year our meat freezer in the house died and we lost all of a couple of years worth of meat. Our half side of beef, our venison, salmon and poultry spoiled. Due to a compressor failure on our chest freezer in the garage. valued at over $1700.00. insurance covered only $300.00 of the loss. So this year when we replaced both freezers and we bought this alarm to monitor our investment in frozen foods. This unit is awesome and we have tested it by setting it up in the freezers and then once they are at a stable < -0 temp. We set the alarms and took one out and laid it on the counter to warm up, sure enough the alarms went off right at the temp we set for the alarm. ( loud little sucker LOL ) then tested the other sending unit and it to went off. The alarm is nasty enough to wake us up, so we are VERY VERY pleased with this protection. Even have low battery alarms, WOW!

Tenho uma geladeira antiga cuja função defrost (descongelamento) já não funciona perfeitamente. De tempos em tempos tenho que desligar a geladeira para descongelar o gelo acumulado na placa do freezer (é um processo chato que leva 24 horas pra concluir).Antes de ter esse termômetro eu tinha que perceber quando a temperatura interna da geladeira já não estava correta. Ou seja, era uma verificação aproximada, pelo tato, de que a temperatura não estava adequada.Agora com esse termômetro, eu verifico as temperaturas do freezer, da geladeira e até da cozinha.As temperaturas mínimas ideais para o bom funcionamento da geladeira são:Geladeira: até 5ºCFreezer: até -18°CO monitor tem imãs que o prendem firmemente na parte externa da geladeira.Dois sensores alimentados com pilha comum vão dentro da geladeira. Um dentro do freezer outro dentro da geladeira. O monitor também usa pilha comum.Recomendo!!!Único ponto negativo:O manual é em inglês. Embora eu entenda bem o idioma a configuração não é muito óbvia.

Tiene una diferencia de más menos dos grados , lo chequé con otro termómetros que engo estos marcan igual pero los de este entre ellos marcan diferente probador en el mismo lugar, pero no es algo tan crítico ya que marca en promedio bien
