Excellent quality and durability.
This is my second one a buy. Still have the first one I bought two year ago, Using it almost every day still working fine. I bought another one in case there is a shortage is supply bc of tariffs etc , cannot live without it, totally recommend it.

Made Short Work of a Sticky Problem
Sturdy grip and sharp; made quick work of a stubborn thistle patch before they became a stick-to-you problem. Doesn’t come with a sheath so storing a long sharp item like this can be a problem. The saw blade side wasn’t much use on these plants but machete edge worked great.

Nice blade but needs some sharpening and QC
Nice feel but does not come sharp. The saw on the back looks a little menacing but is a pretty handy feature for brush. Snapped right at the second sawtooth on some I guess hardy Virginia thorny vines. The blade is still in good shape but dull and not useful anymore. Will check with Fiskars on the lifetime warranty and update here.

very sharp machete
this machete is very well made , with a comfortable handle ,safety lanyard ,saw back ,and a very sharp cutting edge that stays sharp . the blade is made of hardened steel . it is lighter than the one it replaced , i ordered a GI style plastic molded sheath after i used it for safety ,it is to sharp on both sides to carry it bare . also my old one had a black handle and if you laid it down or dropped it was hard to see ,this one is highly visible with safety orange on the over sized handle .i bought this item ,like it ,and i would recommend this fiskars product

I find it very handy for the larger weeds and small bushes trying to take over my backyard.
I've been waiting on a chance to use this before I reviewed it. Today, after weedeating, I used it to trim some tiny off shoots on our trees and cut poison ivy vines. The vines were a good 1 inch in diameter and required the saw side. It was perfectly up to the task. I had sharpened the smooth side but it cut through the offshoots to clean up the tree like butter. The lanyard around the wrist feels nice and it's weighted quite well. It feels good and sturdy in the hand. I'm a woman, 5'4" and the length felt great. I came back to review it and was surprised at the low cost! If you have an established yard, you might not need it. But having cleared this piece of land only a year ago, I find it very handy for the larger weeds and small bushes trying to take over my backyard. I purchased the fiskars axe sharpener with this and it works great as well. Three light pulls and this was insanely sharp. Great value here.

Exactly the quality level you expect for the price.
This is a lower mid tier machete and the price matches. It may, in fact, be slightly cheaper than the quality of the product. Swings? Yes. Saws? Kinda. Cuts? Mostly. Sharpening the blade may improve your experience. I intend to do that at some point. The only major drawback besides its relatively blunt edge and slick rubber handle is the blade wobbles in a way that makes me concerned it will throw the blade at some point. This flaw makes me hesitant to sharpen the blade due to the threat of turning the blade into a projectile at any moment. That said, it has done what I purchased it to do: cut high brush in order to carve a trail to my favorite fishing holes.

As advertise and works well.
Wear gloves long use would def create blisters. But that is true with most hand tools of this type. The grip is a good design (ergonomic)

Perfect tool for the zombie apocalypse
I told my wife I got this to help chop down the overgrown foliage in the back 40. It does work for that, but in all honesty, I got it because I thought it would make a great weapon for the zombie apocalypse. Given how easily it slices through tree branches though, I have no doubt it can be just as effective—if not more so—in severing the heads of the recently undead from their reanimated corpses. Will I ever find out? Who knows? But if you read in the news about a bored middle-aged man from the suburbs going on a decapitation spree with a machete, you can probably assume I got tired of waiting.

This is a well made machete that was delivered with a keen edge. It is well balanced and has a comfortable grip. I feel it is worth the price premium over lower quality imported machetes. It appears to be a tool that will last and that can tolerate rough usage.
