I love these containers
I bought one of these while on holiday to cornwall visiting a very large store that I probably can't say the name of. I've always used cheap food containers and I was so surprised at the quality of these. I've since bought way more, and I can really say they're the perfect food containers. The only thing I can't comment on is how they microwave, because I've never put mine in the microwave before. The colour means that tomato based foods won't show stains as much as the clear ones will, and the plastic never holds on to smells. I've used my original container for over 2 years, and apart from the purple fading ever so slightly (as in, such a small amount, I only noticed it when I bought new containers now) it's still like new. I even chuck them through the dishwasher after every use, and they don't warp or end up with that dishwasher smell (if you know you know). It has a rubber seal around the lid that sits completely flush, and stops leaks. I've had soups in here which have been rolling around in my bag, and never a leak. The locks sit pretty tight so it's hard to accidentally catch them and open them, but they're not so tight that you're struggling to open them at all. I use these to take my lunch to work and store leftovers in the fridge. They stack on top of eachother really well because of the design of the lid, and they're great for saving space. I feel like food lasts a lot longer in these than other tupperware containers because of how air-tight it is. I've never been able to smell food from the outside of the containers. In general, I'd reccommend these to anyone looking for a food storage container that's really going to last. I can't believe they're not more popular. They're sturdy, wash great, don't hold on to smells, and last a lot longer than normal food containers. In the picture I've added to my review, the top box is the one that I have used and abused over the last 2 years, which has had lots of tomato based foods in it and been through the dishwasher more times than I can count.

Pretty great containers, perfect for freezing stuff too!
These are fantastic. I've always hated lock and seal type boxes, they're either too hard to clasp or unclasp, too weak and the clasps break easily, or they're just generally unpleasant to look at...well these are nice!A nice colour, shape, contours, all of that stuff, both equally sturdy and yielding easily to pressure so they can opened and closed easily even when frozen, they resist the cold nicely too...been using them to store my meat, they're big enough to comfortably store four good sized chicken breasts (like the ones you get from the butchers, they'd fit more of the shop bought stuff) or about 9 fat sausages stacked on top of each other, they're really good!I can fit five of them in the bottom, smaller freezer drawer in my fridge-freezer combo, four of them stack 2x2 and the last one sits on its side next to them. I don't have a very large fridge, it's probably average at best, so maybe you can use that as a guide. These are great, though. I wanted something to freeze meat (mostly chicken breast) and then help defrost them + storing them in the fridge without stinking the place out, and they do an absolutely perfect job. I've since completely replaced my usual technique for freezing stuff (Ziploc Bags) with multiple of these containers, and I have no regrets at all!For me they were comfortably priced, too.Happy purchase, thank you!

Good price. Good product
The product works as well as the transparent box of the same brand. However, it is much more difficult to see the content since the box is not transparent. I ended up combining this item with a transparent box of the same size and brand.Perfect for lunch or snack box, not so much for storing food in the fridge.

Exactly what i was looking for!
Needed some decent sized, good quality tupperware pots. Wanted airtight and watertight if possible and enough to store a reasonable amount in. Seeing as most tupperware is pretty rubbish and cheap, i wasnt that optimistic, but have been very impressed with these. Really solid and sturdy pots, will take a beating it seems. Keep their shape and rigidity when heated in the microwave too, unlike some that go all flimsy when hot. I often find when storing a fresh made curry in the fridge, that the smell gets into other items and can taint the taste of them slightly, but these keep the odours and flavours within the pot nicely and no smell leaks into the fridge. Have also filled with water and given a good shaking about before leaving upside down for 5 mins. Not a drop of leakage which i was very impressed with. Would still advise caution but it seems they will protect from spillage quite well too. One of the things i like about these the most, is the colour! Not really colours i thought i wanted but then realised that i no longer have to be overly concerned by staining! Usually it doesnt take long for these pots to end up grimey and dirty looking due to sauce staining. Any tomato based sauce or similar vibrant sauce colour tends to embed quite quickly and ruin the pot visually. But with these, the colour seems to mask this very well which is a great bonus! Add this to the fact they are supposedly 'Eco friendly', then you cant go wrong. As with all of these type of pots, the clip flaps around the sides of lid are just hinged plastic and will no doubt wear and snap over time with use. But not unique to this product, is a design fault of this style, so wont mark down for that and they seem good enough quality to last long enough. All in all, impressed with these and will probably purchase some more.

Cracked within a month
I have dozens of Lock & Lock in various sizes but wanted 1 litre containers to keep my dog's frozen food in. Bearing in mind I only bought these in July and they have gone from freezer to fridge to being washed up I am really disappointed that one of them has cracked right across the narrow side. Whether this has anything to do with them being recycled plastic I can't say, but I am really disappointed that they haven't lasted longer and especially as they are £6 each.
