There's a little resistance, not much, but enough to feel a pop(?) to know it's sealed when closed which is perfect for me to work with.The finish on the can is not rust protected, but will hold an adhesive sticker on the top or side. So, don't set these in standing water and it's good to go for labels.The can is super light weight and the walls are thin.
