Hello I cannot tell you the length of it but it is large enough to fit any size head because of the Velcro I think you might like it but it does get hot hot under a wig but other than that it does hold it in place and I think you will be able to wear it because it has the Velcro and it opens up it’ll fit fine

What is the width of these bands? Would they work just as a headband to hold hair back?

They wouldn’t be very attractive as a headband, however, they are great to use under wigs, scarves and loose hats to hold them in place. It is a velvet headband with stitching thruout with velcro clasps for size adjustments.
