Swash EcoSeat S101 Non-Electric Bidet Seat

My first bidet. Family has been raving about them but I just never saw the point. I finally broke down and bought one as part of a bathroom update and I'm buying more for the rest of the house. Installation was easy. It did require an adjustable wrench to remove and attach the water hose. Don't forget to use the Teflon tape when assembling it or you might run into a leak down the road. The elongated seat fit my Kohler toilet well. That toilet came with a soft close seat and I'm glad this bidet had it as well. During use it gets the job done with whatever level of pressure you need and the controls are easy to understand. The self clean between the forward and backward spray keeps things sanitary. Overall I like the sleek look and function of this bidet and recommend it.

At first I was worried: cold water only, was I going to regret this? Visions of loud shrieks and scrambling around like the YouTube videos of cats falling into water kept running through my mind...but I decided to take a chance. Besides, I didn't have an electrical outlet or a hot water tap near the toilet, so installing a warm water bidet was out of the question. Be sure to measure your toilet before ordering - looking at my toilet, I assumed that it was oval, not round, so I would need the "elongated" seat. But, while deciding whether to order this seat, I looked through all the images on the product page, and found the "Get The Right Fit" image, which gave measuring instructions and the dimensions for each seat. Found out that, when measured according to this image, the "Round" seat would be a better fit. As it turns out, the Round seat fits perfectly on my toilet! Installation was fairly simple - just about everything needed was included with the seat. I did have to buy one hose - the toilet was installed many, many years ago, back when they used solid tubing for the water feed to the toilet. Luckily, I noticed this before making my Amazon order, so I just included a short adapter hose (3/8" compression to 7/8" ballcock) to my order. Everything arrived - I just followed the instructions and the installation went smoothly and quickly. Helpful hint - before I disconnected anything, I put an old 9x13 baking pan underneath everything. This did a perfect job of catching the residual water that came out of the tank when I disconnected the feed line, and gave me enough room to work above it. Put everything together, checked for leaks, and everything was good to go! With a bit of trepidation, I decided to give it a try. Would the neighbors call the cops when they hear the loud screams as arctic water hits my backside? Would the water come blasting out with such force that I get an inadvertent enema? Will I end up feeling like I've been the victim of an alien abduction, complete with anal probe? Will I spend the next half-hour mopping up my bathroom? Happily, none of the above! Water was cold, but no worse than washing hands with just the cold water faucet turned on. Could even be thought of as "refreshing". Volume of water/force was easily controlled by turning the knob. Aim was spot on, no wiggling around or repositioning needed. Seat was comfortable and felt solid, unlike some of the cheap plastic seats that flex and bend when you sit. So far, I'm very happy with this product. As a newbie to the world of bidets, this was a great way to start!

I already had a high end Brondell bidet toilet seat with all the bells and whistles in our upstairs master bathroom, which works great, but I wanted another bidet seat in the main floor guest bath. However, I wanted something that looked more like a standard toilet seat, not something that looks like a geriatric toilet assistance product that unduly advertises my age. Also, I didn't have an easily available electrical outlet convenient to the guest room toilet, so I bought this very basic, non-electric seat. Because it is so simple in operation and features, it is very streamlined and looks like a standard toilet seat--unlike my fully-featured electric unit upstairs. It's really pretty easy to install, but you still have hoses and connections that can leak, so it took me a little longer than I expected to get all the fittings tight. The hose that runs between the bidet seat and the connector on the bottom of the toilet tank is longer than necessary for my setup and I wished it had been a little shorter. Instructions are clear. And I liked that the seat mounting bracket is fully adjustable so that you can get the seat mounted exactly where it needs to be over the toilet bowl. Since I was draining the tank anyway and disconnecting the supply hose, I took the opportunity to replace the fill valve inside the toilet tank at the same time. That's something you might want to think about. If your fill valve or flapper are getting old, it's a good time to swap them out with new while you've got the water shut off and the tank emptied. So now I have a new seat and new guts. It's like a new toilet. The seat works well. Good water pressure. It is nice that the control allows you to select a pressure setting that is comfortable for you.

Bidets rule vs. normal TP and I strongly recommend them: way less irritation, way less funk. Friends and family have had bidets for years but perceived cost turned it into a 'luxury purchase' I kept back-burnering, and I really didn't want an attachment bidet (I needed a new seat anyways) or separate nozzle. For the price this wasn't bad, though I kind of wish I'd saved up for a model with more options. - My toilet is the shorter rounded bowl type, and the fixed angle of the stream on these means I have to position my body in kind of an awkward way, scrunching way forward. As a man this can be especially interesting. I'm guessing this would be less of a problem if I had a more elongated bowl and were able to buy that version, but I really miss the angle adjustment. The steeper forward angle also means more water ends up on the perineum and beyond, which I don't love. I think if I were a woman I'd worry about funky water kicking too far forward. Anyways, there's lots of wiggling to get a good angle. There's an angle setting for forward cleaning (that also seems like a wider spray) and back, but honestly they don't seem dramatically different. - There's no master pressure control or adjustable valve, and the water pressure from my plumbing was way too strong. The nozzle hits a downward cleaning burst before it clicks into the upward angle position, and the force from that alone sprayed water droplets / overspray everywhere, then the pressure from the upwards angle at full is so strong spray still goes everywhere. If I turned the main toilet valve down it also slowed down the tank refill time, which I didn't really want to do. In theory you can use the dial to gradually increase pressure, but since it has to pass through the cleaning mode on the way spray still gets everywhere, and the pressure is extremely touchy and gets strong quickly. Solution: you can get a cheap 3rd party t-adapter with a valve on Amazon, which helped a lot, and it also means I can adjust pressure on the fly. Unfortunately, reducing the pressure too much changes the throw pitch even further forward, which was already a problem, so it takes a sec to find the best pressure that both limits overspray while still having enough 'oomph' to get where it needs to go. The cost of this part was trivial, and I don't know why the version in the kit doesn't have one... probably just to upsell towards units with a better pressure control. I recommend preemptively buying this BEFORE installation so you don't have to take the thing half-apart again. - Installation was fine, but I strongly recommend using the included thread sealing tape. I had some slow drips on the connection to my tank until I used it, though I probably also wasn't tight enough. IIRC the manual didn't explicitly say to use it, but it's in the kit and can only help. It's not rocket science, but you're still doing basic plumbling and want to be meticulous so you don't end up flooding anything... especially if you're a renter. Make sure you have the right tools, and also be mindful of the nut and hardware on the INTERIOR of the tank as you tighten. - If you're new to bidets, I can't recommend getting a stack of bidet towels enough... reusable diaper rags are often cheaper than branded cloth toilet paper. This bidet definitely gets things wet downstairs and is a little less targeted than fancier bidets I've tried, and depending on the toilet paper brand it can fall apart fast drying off. Using cloth isn't as weird or as gross as it sounds, you should basically already be clean, just not dry. Those are just the negatives, but for the price this is honestly pretty good if you want a full-seat unit. If you're avoiding a bidet because they're financially out of reach this is a good option, though, like me, you might quickly get the bug to upgrade.

This was another one of those purchases that I wish I did not wait so long to make. I had all sorts of reservations and concerns about the seat bidet. I worried about installation, how it would look, and much more importantly, how well it would work. Turns out, there was not reason to worry about any of it. The bidet works great! It cleans effectively. Water temp is not a problem. Install was not difficult, just take your time. Did you know that 70 of the civilized world uses bidets. It is something that really makes you feel totally clean in those areas. It seems to be very good quality and the price is reasonable. If you are the fence, jump on in!

I’m a bigger person and the seat is great. Feels nice and supportive. Easy to install. It’s stable, easy to clean, great value. The soft close lid works amazingly. As a bigger person, there is a small issue with the size of the hole. I’m 6 foot and 270 pounds. But my boyfriend is smaller than me and he loves it.

We had the BioBidet Zero before this, we liked it a lot, however the knob on it led guests to believe it was the flusher for some reason and a few people unintentionally splashed themselves, even people we warned, so we started having to take it off when people were coming and got tired of doing that. This bidet uses a round knob that is much more intentional, not easy to mistake for a flush. It also has a better looking lid, the BioBidet looked cheap and scuffed easily. What I don't love is the bidet function itself, the stream is fairly soft, it doesn't give you an enema like the BioBidet did, which I guess is a good thing, but it's also wider and messier, leading to splashing escaping unless you carefully position your legs fully closed, and you end up with a lot of water on you after cleaning. Its a bit annoying. I preferred the function of the BioBidet. The knob is also a bit annoying to use, but I can't complain too much because it's part of the reason we bought it for the guest bathroom, it's very intentional. I'm getting used to it, it feels like an upgrade in some ways but a downgrade in others. My main issue is the splashing, that's very annoying and I'm not sure how that could be resolved.

This a pretty good design but not a GREAT one. It's very easy to install. It has modes for both front and back business. One thing I wish I could do was angle the direction of the water stream a bit better. You'll find yourself wiggling around a bit to get the right spot. It sounds as loud as you'd expect when using so it isn't super discreet. Good value for your money here.

I’ve been using Bidets for a long while. I purchase my Brondell Bidet a year and half ago (Dec 22’) as a back up. My Japanese brand still works fine but the supply line at the joint had issues after many years. Took out the Brondell and replaced it. Here in Singapore we follow the British std so when I receive my Brondell bidet I got myself familiarise with the American system and went hunting for adapters/accessories to our local sanitary suppliers to look for hardware that can incorporate with the American std and when I had to replace my existing bidet to the Brondell yesterday (20 June 24’) I faced no issues. Probably will order another one as back up again. 👍🏼

The product is good, but made for US market. The T pipe is 7/8,7/8,3/8 size and in the UAE you would need a 1/2,1/1,3/8. The manufacturer was contacted however no support was provided as they claimed they do not have adapters. Ended up spending a lot buying adapters from the US.
