Had a similarly designed version of this Schlage door hardware for decades. Just moved into a new home and change dall the exterior door hardware with these - almost a dozen between the doors and storm doors, etc. So easy to open. Very attractive, without being too modern. Simple installation. In my experience, Schlage has always stood behind its products.

Perfect for entry door into attached garage. Easy to operate if your hands are full, just use your elbow. Nice quality.

The builder version of this lock set, at 9 years in place--door lock and handles between house and attached garage--partly failed. That is, the door couldn't close without partly turning the handle. Ordered this from Amazon yesterday afternoon. It arrived this morning, and I installed in 15 minutes. Also, since it was almost identical to the old one, I could use my existing handles...meaning I didn't need to get the new lock rekeyed to match the other two exterior door locks (driving to a locksmith and charge avoided.) In fact, it was so fast and easy, it was almost scary, so I tested from inside and garage-side with the knob locked and unlocked several times. In less than 24 hours after discovering the failure, it's fixed. Amazon and a screwdriver--sometimes that's all you need!

These are just gorgeous door handle locks. They look more like brushed nickel than satin nickel, which is great, because we love that brushed nickel look. They are smooth to the touch, and every sing one we have purchased has had no flaws, and operates the same, which is a clear testament to the quality of the product and manufacturing process itself. Right now we have this handle on the front door, garage door, back door, and 5 different closets. IMPORTANT: You can change the flare orientation on these with the pin provided. It will allow you to remove just the handle itself from both sides, giving you the option to choose if you like the up to down handle flare, or, the down to up handle flare. We prefer the up then down flare because it feels more comfortable on the hand. This is a great feature because many door handles out there are specific to whether it is a right opening door, or, a left opening door. Install is an absolute breeze for these, also everything aligned perfectly with the door when complete. We highly recommend these handles. It is a giant aesthetic upgrade to any home.

Amazon is scamming prime members by switching a prime delivery to a third party seller when they don't have the item in stock and wants to keep you from buying it somewhere else. Worst of all your money is tied up with the seller and they have pushed my delivery date from two weeks away, then added an extra fours days out of nowhere not holding up to amazon a to z guarantee. Have you ever noticed that 'prime' is bold, blue lettering in the product page, but in the submit your order page it is just 'prime'. So always check that 'prime' before clicking on the 'submit order', or you will be wondering how you just purchased from a third party seller. I purchased the Schlage 16-126 5 Inch Replacement Deadlatch with 1 x 2 1/4 Inch Square Corner Fa, Satin Nickel sold/shipped from buildcom with no mods or altercations needed for my door with a 5" backstep. Frustration free packageng, with no missing parts, no damage and well contained screws. Schlage and other YTers have helpful, informative videos on how to install the lock set to your door. Big fan of Schlage that I have also recently purchased and installed the Schlage lock set with key pad with no problems. For me the satin nickel finish was worth the extra cost. Quick delivery and reasonably priced. Installation instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Literally only took minutes to install. Note you do need to have the correct size hole saws. The set looks good, feels solid and is operating as it should. Only time will tell if it keeps doing so.

Have had this Keyed Entry lock set for at least a year and it has not shown any surface wear whatsoever. Very easy to set the lock when exiting, and when returning to re-enter, it takes no effort whatsoever to disengage the lock. Will definitely buy the same lock for our side door that has a lock that is already showing its age. Great product for a very reasonable price
