Dirty Italian: Second Edition (Italian Edition)

What's not to love? Hur hur. I shocked my Italian tutor by using one of these phrases once. Apparently some things that sound only slighly rude in English are VERY rude in Italian. Or my tutor is a bit of a prude? Don't know. A delightful book, well worth the money. LOL

Sometimes being a student of a new language can be taxing on your self-confidence! "Dirty Italian" actually has real grammar lessons & drills; gave me the correct Italian grammar for the "dirty" phrases I already learned from my southern Italian family; and made me smile! It is small enough to put in my pocketbook & read on the subway. It's a perfect book if you need to "lighten up" on your Italian skills!!! Enjoy

Got this bc I wanted to learn italian

This is an amazing quality booklet with a bundle of fun Italian. You can flip a random page and read "Horny Italian" for the night and put it back to your shelf where it looks great, or you can study it all and then put your knowledge on test later. The content is well selected and applies to a wide-range of casual conversations. The presentation and page design is very handsome, engaging and practical. If you plan to go to Italy for the summer, buy it; if you took Italian at some point in your life and want to spice it up your language passion, buy it; if you think Italian is cool and you don't mind just knowing "the essentials ;) ;)" yes, buy it.

When im losing focus and interest studying my italian language textbooks, i dont quit, just pick this one up and rekindle my excitement for the language, and yes its very dirty, love it!

When you learn another language you learn the "proper" words. When you go to another country you hear the everyday street language, words which are usually not taught in class. Just like in your native language the words used in other daily street languages change over time. Learning the street language takes just as much time and effort as learning the "proper" words, phrases, & sentences but is generally more fun. This book is an excellent first book for learning the necessary street language or to update your knowledge to know if you are being given directions or an insult. Linguistics & languages are my hobby so I use a lot of language learning materials. This book is definitely prominently situated on my bookshelf. I highly recommend it.

Very funny book

What can I say this book has been immensely entertaining and has enabled me to understand a lot of the everyday slang words you won't get taught in the classroom or the average phrase book! You will be surprised once you become aware of some these words just how often Italians actually say them. In my opinion this is an excellent guide and also includes a useful guide to text speak often ignored by most guides and also (oddly) for a book about slang words useful phrases should you find your self wanting to talk about the art in art galleries of all things!
