With a foreword by Kate Pankhurst, author of Fantastically Great Women who Changed the World. Chapters in this book include:- The Daring Princess (based on 'The Iron Stove' retold by the Brothers Grimm)- The Sleeping Prince (based on an old Spanish story 'The King Sleeping in his Bed')- Snow White and Rose Red (based on 'The Ungrateful Dwarf' by Caroline Stahl and its retelling by the Brothers Grimm)- Clever Molly (based on an old Scottish tale collected by Joseph Jacobs and Flora Annie Steele)- Kate Crankernuts (a Scottish fairy tale collected by Andrew and Nora Lang in the Orkney Islands)- The Nettle Princess (based on a story first written down by Karl Mullenhoff, later collected by the Brothers Grimm)- The Wise Princess (based on a very old English story that inspired William Shakespeare's 'King Lear')- Fearless Fiona and the Spellbound Knight (based on the story 'Tam Lin' which was originally sung as a Scottish Ballad) Review: Super Awesome! - My 7 year old girl simply loveed the fairy stories.. she has read 3 times in 10 days entire book and still can't get over it! Stories are well depicted to capture the imagination of young readers and fonts etc are quite good for them to read them on their own! I am planning to buy more illustrated series book from Usbore! Review: An amazing book for any young girl. - I bought this for my 6 year old. She loves the stories and always wants more. She is a huge Disney fan and loves princesses. This book was a nice change of pace with strong young women going on adventures and wonderfully written tales based off real fairy tales. I was a bit hesitant to purchase this at first because many reviews made this out to be some kind of ultra feminist brainwashing book. I don't regret buying this at all it is amazing to have fairy tale stories other than damsil in distress. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #471,020 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #1,366 in Dragons, Unicorns & Mythical Creatures Tales for Children #3,316 in Fairy Tales, Folk Tales & Myths for Children (Books) #3,837 in Visionary & Metaphysical Fantasy Fiction for Children | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 1,075 Reviews | ## Images ![Forgotten Fairy Tales of Brave and Brilliant Girls - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81+DOkHng9L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super Awesome! *by R***K on 5 October 2021* My 7 year old girl simply loveed the fairy stories.. she has read 3 times in 10 days entire book and still can't get over it!
