CWNA: Certified Wireless Network Administrator

Great information
I am taking a wireless networking class that required a Cisco book that was outdated and vendor specific. The instructor recommended this book as an alternative for the course so I went ahead and purchased it. I am glad that I took his advice on getting this book. The book is very comprehensive in the subject of wireless networking without promoting a specific vendors technology. The book is designed to get you to pass a vendor neutral certification so it concentrates on teaching you all about wireless technologies across the industry. I recommend that anybody that wants to learn about wireless networks should get this book.

Excellent tutorial on Wi-Fi
If you want to truly understand Wi-Fi, this is about the best book around. This is meant to be a certification study guide, but I would recommend it even if you have no intention of taking the exam.Even some of the most experienced IT professionals are pretty ignorant on Wi-Fi. Makes sense since IT folks are used to a digital world, but to really understand Wi-Fi it takes an understanding of RF also. This book if far from easy, the concepts are pretty hard to master. But the book presents the concepts in as easy to understand way as possible. If you master this book you will really understand Wi-Fi, but if your new to it it's going to be quite an effort. For those of you for this is a bit too much, try the CWTS book in the same series from CWNP - still quite good but less intense, as it's the study guide for the CWNP's entry level test, while the CWNA book is the study guide for CWNP's higher level exam.good luck,Huckleberry

Pretty educating
I had this book for a college class and I was not interested in getting the CWNA certification. I was surprised how much I learned about radio waves and wireless networks. The days of class that I learned the most were the days that we worked with this book.

Well written and informative
I have worked with enterprise wireless networks for 14 years and wish I would have read this book 10 years ago. Every page has useful information well organized and easy to read.

it's a good book
It had a lot of great detail that prepared me for the CWNA exam, and gave you a good foundation for the other wireless cert exams aswell.I passed my CWNA exam on the first try, with a perfect score.I would rec this book.

Interesting read for those wanting to learn more about wireless networking
Interesting read. One reason I got this book is to find out why wireless network throughput is usually much slower than specs. This book helped explain why this is the case and a useful starting point for digging into captures of 802.11 management frames. After reading the book I'm interested in taking the CWNA exam, and think it's probably a good resource along with a bit of practical experience.

Passed my test
You need more than just this book to pass the CWNA, if you spin in some trainsignal or CBT nuggets and then study the VCE's that are all over the internet you will pass it 100 percent. I'm the type of person who needs multiple ways to learn a subject. So, video, reading and hands on is the way to go.

Superb
This is a very good book it was exactly what I needed it for. I have not sit the CWNA exam yet. This book did help me pass another Wireless exam that was Sqa equivalent to the CWNA. I would rate this as one of my best books that I have purchased for my studies towards my ccna and networking degree. Overall I am satisfied don't hesitate to buy. Good luck on your studies

Great for the exam
I'm working on wireless LAN testing and analysis so need my CWNA (at least) to do my job. Not quite bedtime reading but easy to follow
