This is the very first time to try this product. I follow the instructions on how to mix this with water. This product is so very easy to mix with water. This product does firm up within 8 To 9 hours in the fridge. After this finally firms up, I gave this to my one sweetheart red ear slider Turtle name Shelley. Shelley truly love love this product. I feed A small amount of this to shelley twice a day. This wonderful product has a very little cloudy in my 40 gallon tank. it doesnt fully cloud my tank up. Shelley gets very happy, when I feed her this each day. This smells like kelp and seaweed. I am so very happy with this product. She i s a very very happy turtle. Thank u for bringing this wonderful product to this site.

This 3 star review is based on the lack of interest my turtles had in this food. I’m sure some turtles like this product. Both of my sliders did not. I was trying to find new food for my sliders because tetra changed the formula of their jumbo sticks and my large turtles would no longer eat them after 35 years. I couldn’t figure out the ratio without using the whole bag so I prepared the whole bag and cut it into sizes they are used to eating. I froze most and would keep a couple days worth of food in the fridge because after it is prepared it can only stay for a couple days. They picked and then ignored every time. I even bought a 2nd bag later to try again. No go. It’s a weird texture when readied and a time consuming method of prep. Boil water, then mix in gel, then put in fridge to cool. Then cut and serve or store. I feed in a separate tank but if you don’t, expect to make more frequent water changes. It breaks apart and can get messy.

Excellent food, my RES loves it , has sufficient vitamins my vet approved. You just have to store it in the freezer after making. I put aside the weeks worth of food and put the rest in the freezer. It’s good for a month once frozen but thawed 1 week. It’s a little high maintenance but my little guy deserves it. The food breaks down and makes a mess so suggest feeding in a different tank

Its not pellets but a dirt looking bag of stuff that you add boiling water to, store in fridge and it turns to gelatin! Threw it in the trash

My Red Eared Slider baby is kind of picky when it comes to her food. So trying new things is sometimes hard . But she liked this right away. Which I was amazed. I'm pleased with the product as long as she likes it I'm happy. 😊 money is worth it. The scent is good for her she always smells her food first. And I'm taking it by how she eats it the flavor is good.

I meant to order pellets but accidentally ordered this instead. I decided to give it a try, but painted turtle will not eat it.
